So, from the fact that Jesus was resurrected in a physical body, we can infer that the afterlife will be a physical state too, not just a spiritual one. But how old will our physical bodies be there?

The fact that the resurrected Jesus looked the same as before his death can mean 3 things:

-We will all be 33.

-We will all be in the physical age we were when we died (in that case, I guess it sucks to die in an old age).

-We will all be in our prime (25 or so). Jesus probably came back as an 25 year old man but no one noticed the difference.

What do you think?

I can only speculate. Either I'll see my grandparents as I knew them, or I'll see younger versions of them, or they won't look like they did at all, but I will still recognize them 100% in spite of that.

If I see them as I knew them, will their friends see younger versions of them at the same time, I wonder. As in, I see Grandpa as I knew him from childhood, but a childhood friend of his would see him as a child. Maybe, maybe not.

And if I see them as I knew them, I think that would only apply to their appearance, rather than their health. They would be 100% healthy, as would everyone.

We will have glorified bodies that are eternal and not subject to corruption. That to me sounds like like being in your early 20s with some kind of Captain America super serum enhancement.

Yes, in the Christian religion we believe in the future resurrection of the body, and that eternal life is physical, God will restore and make new the whole of creation.

To answer your question about how old we'll be, or how old we'll appear, who knows. I would lean toward that the question itself might not even be meaningful, that "age" or even "apparent age" won't really mean anything in the Age to Come. Part of that has to do with the fact that resurrection is much more than simply resuscitation, the body isn't simply brought back to life, it is transformed. So attempting to speculate about these sorts of things are akin to trying to talk about colors that we've never seen, or senses that we've never experienced. Anything we can say pales in comparison to the reality, and most things we might speculate about are almost certainly going to be entirely wrong.
