In a documentary, Pope Francis had voiced his support for homosexual civil unions.

October 31, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) — Jesuit priest Fr. James Martin has partnered with the head of the nation’s most powerful pro-LGBT organization to laud Pope Francis’ apparent support for same-sex civil unions.

Martin again joined forces with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) to nudge the Catholic Church toward the normalization and full acceptance of homosexuality and transgenderism.

How can a Priest come to this conclusion? Then again I'm not even Catholic yet so what do I know?

How long does it take to study to become a Priest and then this is your conlcusion on a sin God is never even remotely positive about. Also if this is a correct quote attributed to Fr. Martin:

"He supports gay men kissing each other during the sign of peace at Mass, says that a Catholic attending a same-sex “wedding” is like attending a Jewish wedding, and suggests that his critics are secretly gay themselves.

Fr. Martin says homosexual priests should “come out” about their sexual proclivities, but has publicly declined to say whether he himself is gay"

It makes no sense. "If you're against heroin use you're probably secretly trafficking heroin."

I suppose that a priest or minister or rabbi would come to said conclusion by thinking that Scripture and Holy Tradition are not infallible. Having said that, I am sure that there are plenty of clergy who do not believe that Scripture and Holy Tradition are necessarily always infallible, who still believe that homosexual relations are against God's will.
