Just to encourage you.
My wife had an affair and walked out on me after 29 years of marriage.
After she left, I prayed for her repentance for a full year, and then the Lord told me specifically that it was over.
Very shortly after that, I got engaged and then married to a wonderful Godly lady I met at a tiny church I joined after my wife left. I was 56 when I remarried.

Actually I think they're just watching their backs, because it's kind of tricky to screen for "bad pennies", etc.
But don't let that discourage you.
There are folks who have met in the different forums here, and have gone on to lead happy lives together.
