Hello,

I've been job hunting for a few weeks and am beginning to feel just a little anxious (trying not to be stressed over it). Seems like I'm coming up with nothing. I did an interview last friday and they will let me know by the end of the week what they decide. I'm patiently waiting but today I recieved an email from a different company I applied with stating "they moved on with another candidate".

I totally understand but receiving that NO has made me feel a bit nervous for this current job I'm waiting to hear from. Help me pray to remain at peace and just trust that God knows what He's doing, whether I get this job or not I don't want my faith to falter. Also I rather avoid the feeling of being upset or dissapointed all together, I know I will probably feel it a little but I don't want to sit and dwell in it.

You're already doing something right if you're receiving replies and being invited to interviews - so don't worry, you're NOT in the land of scarcity. Ample opportunities are coming your way.

Seriously, don't sweat it. Just play the numbers game and see each application like a betting slip: it if comes good, great! But if it doesn't, just screw it up and move on with a fresh one. The more you do that, the more of an emotional callus you'll develop as time goes on.

It IS scary at first, but once you've gotten five or six interviews under your belt you begin to form a little routine with yourself. Eventually, you'll find yourself enjoying these interviews just for the weird and wacky characters you meet.

I pray it be in the Lords will for you to get a job that you can be happy at with friendly coworkers. And i pray that the holy spirit fills you with peace, happiness and joy while you are waiting. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

God's got you! He knows your needs, and He's going to provide for you. He will never fail to provide for our needs if we stay close to Him and trust Him.

Keep us posted, okay? I hope you get good news very soon!

Thank you! Absolutly appreciate the words of encouragement and you know what, you are 100% right! I have met quite a handful of wacky/weird personalities recently haha

Its never a problem. I truly believe you'll do just fine, you write very well and your very friendly in your responses to people. I think alot of bosses are looking for a likeable person when they hire someone and depending on the type of work, someone that can be professional with customers. I know its easy to get nervous for interviews but if you just be yourself i dont think it will be too long before you have a job

Your thread title is refreshing. When so many people ask you to pray FOR them sometimes it's easy to tell them, look, I'll pray WITH you. That's not to say some folks don't get so down in the dumps they're that helpless. God has mercy on them as well. Just sayin'.

Thank you, although it is much easier to be myself and remain calm when I am typing and not in front of potential bosses lol. I do try my best to be as transparent, friendly and kind in general but thank you for the compliment!

It's amazing when others pray for you but its even more impactful when others pray WITH you. Sometimes we do feel helpless and need someone to pray for us to be lifted again but I also feel like when you pray for yourself its because you believe what your declaring. I believe God will provide a good job for me but I feel better knowing I have a group of people praying with me too.

Your very welcome! And its completely understandable but i think they'll like you either way! Alot of bosses have dealt with many difficult people over the years so they really appreciate having workers that do their job and dont cause problems
