The first quote is arguably the best opening line of any novel.
The second is perhaps the best two word rejoinder to be found in any play.
The last, the final lines of the novel, is surely the best ever advance justification for sequels, although Clarke maintained he had no such plans at the time.
A wonderful quote that I've never heard before. I love it.Puritan Walter Marshall; The Gospel Mystery of Sanctification.
It is a true saying that believers should not act for life, but from life. They must act as those that are not procuring life by their works, but as such who have already received and derived life from Christ, and act from the power and virtue received from Him.
I love this one <3 I'd love to have it on my wall in some form.No quote thread is complete without Mark Twain.
“Life is short, break the rules. Forgive quickly, kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that makes you smile.”
*wipes a tear*"I have come home at last! This is my real country! I belong here. This is the land I have been looking for all my life, though I never knew it till now...Come further up, come further in!"
