Has the Holy Spirit explicitly led you to keep the Sabbath?

did the serpent control her to walk near enough to speak to her? Did the serpent have her add to His prohibition? Did the serpent make Eve see the tree was good for food? Did the serpent make Eve’s eyes see it is pleasant...Did the serpent force her to desire to be wise? Did the serpent control her hands to take the fruit and her mouth to bite chew her throat to swallow? Or did SHE make choices and decisions and reveal her heart...or does nothing coming into the body make one unclean...but that INSIDE is already defiled...as Yahushua confirmed much later...

You are preaching that Eve was a liar and deceiver even before the serpent beguiled her. You got this teaching from another voice, not God's as the Holy Scriptures clearly show. I asked for even ONE verse that confirms your preaching that Eve was a deceiver, same as satan, and you can find none, because the Bible doesn't teach what you are "ADDING".

we are told EXACTLY what is necessary...that she ADDED to the WORD is EXACTLY the problem THROUGHOUT the good book...and STILL today...

Desiring to obey she ADDED she CREATED like the Pharisees do...like religious leaders today...

didn’t say serpent had NOTHING to do...but that she in her desire to be ZEALOUS AND OBEY added to His word...she chose to do that...

You are "ADDING" the judgement that Eve was a liar and deceiver who tried to deceive the serpent who was just an innocent bystander inquiring about God's Commandment. The Bible doesn't teach this, you do, but the bible doesn't. You are "ADDING" this religious philosophy, God doesn't teach it.

I have no doubt that God told Eve not to eat, lust after, desire or even touch the forbidden fruit. This is certainly God's Character and I have no reason or proof to judge Eve as a liar and deceiver even before she was "beguiled" by the serpent.

You are free to make this judgment of Eve is you like, but I'm sticking to God's Judgment.

of course she had a choice is EXACTLY why she erred...she exercised her free will to choose COUNTER the instruction despite her desire to OBEY...is WHY the subtle deception...beguiling...

You think deception is a one person game? Something that Satan does to you?

I think the Holy Scriptures are true. And you are ignoring what they say regarding Eve to promote some religious philosophy you heard. I posted several warnings about the "other spirit" which seeks to beguile men in this world, as it did Eve, but you don't believe them. Nothing new in that.

2 Tim. 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Her free will had her create a false presumption...

Like your free will directing you to judge her as a Liar and Deceiver without even any proof or scriptures to support your judgment? If you could find Scriptural support, you would have provided it. But you can't because no such supports exists, only in the minds of men they "ADD" to the Scriptures.

it is right there...CURSED is anyone who ADDS to the WORD...as demonstrated already in the garden...

settle down...I am specific to what EVE did...to be deceived...HOW Satan deceived her...

You have no proof that God didn't tell her not to touch the tree. You are ADDING to God's Word, you are Judging Eve a Deceiver and liar even before she was beguiled by the serpent. And you doing so without ONE WORD of support from the entire Bible.

yup...funny how we are punished for something Satan did to us? How is that fair?

The serpent didn't make Eve choose its words over God's, just as no one "made" you accuse Eve of being a liar and deceiver before the serpent even got there.

Eve was cursed NOT for what was done to her by the serpent...but for what she created...and as CREATOR she was cursed in her creation role...BOTH conception and birth were to be sorrowful...AND her desire was to be for her now RULER...

Eve, like Abraham, was judged by their works. One is an example of listening to "another" voice, and the other is an example of only listening to God. You are "ADDING" judgments to the Word of God HE has never made.

did Noah gather the unclean male and female and the clean by sevens? Or was it SHOWN to him by Him having them enter the ark that way

Nice deflection. You really believe the only Word's ever spoken by God to Noah is recorded?

Not my fault you miss the lessons RIGHT THERE...”Their eyes were opened and they realized they were NAKED AND ASHAMED made coverings for themselves and STILL HID themselves...

Of course, they touched the forbidden fruit that they knew was against God.

Noah’s son DISHONORED his father his nakedness by doing NOTHING...and telling his brothers...

One did, what about the other two? How did they even know what "Dishonoring" their father was? Can you show me the exact Scripture where God told Noah's Sons not to look at their fathers nakedness? Or that "doing NOTHING" was wrong?

You are promoting a religious philosophy that implodes within in itself once the Light of the Holy Scriptures are shown upon it.

You miss so much...

as far as you know you can only read what was told...maybe Adam told her wrong...also the problem?

There is also another, more probable explanation. Maybe you are wrong in your judgment of God and Eve. Maybe, like with murder and adultery, God instructs folks to "flee all appearance of evil". Would a man of God go to a strip joint, get a lap dance, flirt with other women, and be guiltless as long as he doesn't actually have sex? You preach, she could pick the fruit, juggle the fruit, lust after the fruit, desire the fruit, and only became guilty when she took the bite.

No, your judgment of Eve is not from God, and your judgment of God is not true.

And you are here to preserve and defend your own religious philosophy, not examine scriptures. So since I am here to examine scriptures, and not interested in promoting popular religious philosophies, we are on different pages.

To continue in this back and forth is foolishness, so I will not address all your remarks.

yup...and like the Pharisees who wanted to build a hedge around the law ADDED to it...so did Eve...Created her own law...

Again, you are furthering doctrines of men.

Matt. 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

John 7:19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?

Mal. 2:8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.

9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.

This is another perfect example of how you have been beguiled by the "other" voice. God's Word clearly says over and over, that the Jewish religious leaders didn't "ADD" to God's Laws, they took away from it, transgressed it, "omitted" it, rejected it, like Eve.

So here I am again, I have your "voice" telling the Jews were so interested in obeying God's Laws that they ADDED to them, and I have the Word of God telling me the Jews hated Him, they despised His Laws and polluted His Sabbaths.

Since I have learned from the lesson God gave me through the example of Eve, I'm going to believe God over your religious philosophy. I just hope that you might also close your ears to the religious leaders who are guiding your religious belief, and turn to the God of the Bible who will set you free from the "wiles of the devil", if you put on HIS Armor.

it remains:

This is what she said:

“But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden God has said ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’” Gen 3:3

This is what He said:

“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die” Gen 2:17

See what she added?

He did NOT say “you shall not touch”

She ADDED to His Word and deceived herself...saw that it was good...and TOOK

can't eat without touching...but can touch without eating...Satan is clever

So here I am again, I have your "voice" telling the Jews were so interested in obeying God's Laws that they ADDED to them, and I have the Word of God telling me the Jews hated Him, they despised His Laws and polluted His Sabbaths.

Not all Jews added to His word...Not all Jews hated Him...

Again you are all over the place...

so...just stick to what is written...and interpret as it interprets...

HalleluYah

Your response...

Sure he did I just quoted you the scriptures. Who do you think created the Sabbath for all mankind and gave the 10 commandments?

Not one of those verses says anything about keeping the Sabbath. The Sabbath was made for man, for what? TO REST. It was made so that man has a day of rest every week, even slaves were given a day of rest. He never said anything about keeping the Sabbath. Matthew 12:1-12 Jesus says it is ok to do good works on the Sabbath he doesn’t say a SINGLE WORD about keeping the Sabbath. Jesus specifically says do not lie, cheat, steal, murder, commit adultery, worship idols, engage in sexual immorality, love God, and love others but never once says anything about keeping the Sabbath or the necessity of worshipping on Saturday. Saying the Sabbath was made for man is not saying keep the Sabbath.

Nope you were have been provided God's Word throughout our conversation as evidence that your inconclusive comments are not able to answer that is why I asked you questions. Does that not concern you? It should.

He gave a commentary of some random person’s interpretation of scriptures that never specifically stated that we must keep the Sabbath. I don’t do commentaries. I don’t need someone to tell me what the scriptures mean I can read.

You of course are free to believe as you wish. I prefer the bible. It was JESUS that says he is LORD of the Sabbath that he created for all mankind in Mark 2:27-28 and taught us how to correctly keep the Sabbath as shown in Matthew 12:1-12. Everyone of God's 10 commandments are repeated all through the new testament scriptures even God's 4th commandment (Scripture support here linked). How many commandments are there in God's 10 commandments? "THEREFORE IT REMAINS FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD TO KEEP THE SABBATH." - Hebrews 4:9

Well seems like JESUS and Paul quoting ISAIAH 6:9-10 in Matthew 13:13-15 and Acts of the Apostles 28:26-27 to those who did not believe Gods' Word is relevant for some. What do you think these scriptures mean?

These scriptures mean anyone who has ears to hear let him hear. It means anyone who wants to listen will be permitted to understand anyone who does not want to listen will not be permitted to understand. This has absolutely nothing to do with the Sabbath.

Depends if one is knowingly breaking God's 4th commandment of the 10 commandments which is sin when broken according to the scriptures written in James 2:10-11; 1 John 3:4 and Romans 7:7 and someone else is trying to help that person to understand what sin is through the scriptures and that person does not want to hear God's Word and refuses the help I guess. Sin will keep all those who practice it out of God's kingdom according to the scriptures written in Hebrews 10:26-31.

Is 58:13 “Keep the Sabbath day holy.
Don’t pursue your own interests on that day,
but enjoy the Sabbath
and speak of it with delight as the Lord’s holy day.
Honor the Sabbath in everything you do on that day,
and don’t follow your own desires or talk idly.

I certainly would not be telling others they are sinning by not observing a day when Is 58:13 is not being kept by those making the accusation.

There it is.

You rail on others and judge them as unrighteous for misrepresenting your religious philosophy, then you do the same thing. Typical.

And why? Because I believe what is written.

I ask you questions and ask for something more than your own words to support your religious philosophy, and what do you give me?

Lies about me following some woman?

If that is righteousness in your religion, then that is why the Christ instructed me to separate myself from the religions of the land I was born into.

Thank you for showing me the heart of your belief.

But my point stands tho, no church taught that we must keep the Saturday Sabbath before the 19th century except for Judaism. 300AD no church taught it, 400AD no church taught it, 600AD no church taught it, 1000AD no church taught it, 1500AD no church taught it, 1800AD no church taught it. In all of Christianity no church taught Saturday Sabbath was mandatory for salvation until Ellen White founded the SDA in 1863AD. Just because some chose to keep the Sabbath does not mean the church taught it was necessary for salvation.

It is God's Word not mine. Of course you are free to believe as you wish. I would do no such thing only to say that Paul tells us that the role of God's law is to give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken in Romans 3:20 and Romans 7:7. John also tells us that sin is breaking God's law and James of course makes it very clear that if we break anyone of God's 10 commandments we stand guilty before God of sin in James 2:10-11. Yeps seems many are going to be disappointed come judgement day according to JESUS in Matthew 7:21-23 by not believing and following his Word.

One of my favorites is Matt 24:20...His instruction to pray that the Sabbath is kept in future times of trouble...because "RUN TO THE HILL'S" is NOT very restful...nor is fleeing at winter...

Yup two times He expected to continue for His people: winter times and Sabbath times...

No prayers were instructed that their lives be saved, or that a rapture come or that the temple be spared...just that the Sabbath remain restful...and Holy...

Yes He was speaking to the apostles who were Jews and did keep the Sabbath. He still never once said we must keep the Sabbath throughout His entire ministry.

Funny story though by JESUS in relation to this one. JESUS says in Mark 2:27 that he made the Sabbath for all mankind. When the Sabbath was made there was no JEW, ISRAEL or MOSES according to the scriptures. Yep I prefer what the bible says. If JESUS taught us how to keep the Sabbath in the new covenant why would he have to tell us again to keep the Sabbath when the JEWS were already keeping it for the last 4000 years? Yet we already know that everyone of Gods 10 commandments are repeated all through the new covenant scriptures (scriptures already provided)

There are only Pharisees and Sadducee's, Judaisers is a term the "other" voice created.

Judaizers were Christians who taught it is necessary to observe the Mosaic laws in order to receive salvation, you should look it up sometime. Just because the word Judaizer is not in the Bible doesn’t mean they don’t exist. The word Trinity is not in the Bible either, it is a term created to describe a concept mentioned in the Bible.

The Jews did not keep it for 4000 years. The earth is only just over 6000 years old now according to the genealogy record in the scriptures. Nobody before Moses kept the Sabbath.

You haven’t posted a single New Testament verse that says we must keep the Sabbath. The verses you keep quoting do not say we must keep it. They don’t even imply that we must keep it. Sure many of them do show that people did keep it but we already knew that. The New Covenant abolished the old one. It’s a completely new agreement, a new contract with new requirements.

All mankind? Your adding to the scriptures that is not what these verses say at all. There’s not a single mention of anyone observing the Sabbath before Exodus. The sabbath was made for man AFTER God gave Moses the law not before. See this is what I’m talking about, your so obsessed with your theology that you try to see what isn’t there in every scripture you read.

And what did he tell them to do? Go into ALL and teach them to observe ALL I commanded you...

or just some of what He demonstrated and taught His ONE bride was to do...

or do you have Him married to two? one who does vs one who claims she doesn’t have to...

imagine the one killed for picking up sticks on the Sabbath finding out it didn’t matter after all...

They had to keep the entire Mosaic law at that time. Your quoting the Old Testament.
