Hi HIM, nice to meet you!

In your view, does that body of Christ have a visible expression, for example a particular system of priests and bishops?
Hi Leaf473 nice to meet you! Thank you for the greeting!
There is a New Temple, us as the Body of Christ. The Holy Ghost is no longer in an earthly Temple ministered to, but in us ministering to us and through us.

1Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Phil.2:13 It is God that works in us both to will and do His good pleasure.

There is no longer male nor female, jew nor gentile, bondman or free. We are all one in Christ. For we that have been baptised into Christ have put on Christ. Gal 3:27,28 Therefore we are all Priests as He through Him after the order of Melchizedek. In other words God said it so it must be so.

Exod 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

Rev 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

1Pet 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

We have a responsibility to the Temple in which we have become part of and the courtyard in which have been placed, the world.

I agree with the thrust of your post!

The only part I would quibble with is is whether the body of Christ as a whole is referred to as a temple.

But I agree that our individual physical bodies are called a temple of the holy Spirit!

How inaccurate or unreliable has a modern-day prophet said the King James Bible is?
Modern day prophets have not condemned the Bible but we revere and respect the Bible and believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. That being said, no book of scripture is perfect.

I agree that if a person keeps those two commandments they do not need to be concerned about any other commandment, such as commandments about adultery or tithing.

Is that what you're saying too?
Adultery and robing God are both against the two great commandments of God. That being said, so was sacrificing one's son as Abraham was told to do. God told Abraham to sacrifice his son as a test to see if Abraham would do all that he was commanded to do. Job was also tested. It should be no surprise that God continues to test His children.

Absolutely, wholehearted allegiance to God.

I believe I talked about an organization here on Earth to which we must pledge unwavering allegiance.
I think this issue is implied in the OP where he talks about LDS confessing "I believe that the (LDS) church is true."

I don't think you and I differ in our pledging allegiance to God, it's in our pledging allegiance to an earthly organization.
Jesus was dedicated to the church:

(New Testament | Ephesians 5:25 - 33)

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

I believe that I do belong to Christ's true church.

Is this passage translated correctly?

(New Testament | Matthew 22:36 - 40)

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Has a modern-day prophet said yes or no?

When Joseph Smith translated the Bible, he did not make any changes to this text. Therefore I would say yes. There were two scripture references in verse 40:

(New Testament | Mark 12:33)

33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

(New Testament | Romans 13:10)

10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

In LDS teaching, is wearing linen and wool mixed together also against the two great commandments of God?

I agree that Jesus loves the church!

Is that church that Jesus loves the LDS church?
I think that's where we would see things differently.

Do you pledge unwavering allegiance to the LDS leadership?

Great discussion, by the way!

Good to know!
Is that the official LDS position?
Has a modern-day prophet said this?

Sorry, I don't follow what you're saying about "verse 40".
Do you mean verse 40 of Mark chapter 12?

Some of the laws were not moral laws but were used to keep God's people a different people compared to the rest of the world. These laws emphasized division, purity, and dedication. That being said I believe that obedience to these laws had their rewards.

Has a modern-day prophet said this?
(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 59:5 - 6)

5 Wherefore, I give unto them a commandment, saying thus: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy might, mind, and strength; and in the name of Jesus Christ thou shalt serve him.
6 Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Thou shalt not steal; neither commit adultery, nor kill, nor do anything like unto it.

Sorry, I don't follow what you're saying about "verse 40".
Do you mean verse 40 of Mark chapter 12?
Verse 40 of Matthew 22.

Thank you for your response. However I am still not sure from your post whether wearing linen and wool mixed together is against the two great commandments of God, according to LDS teaching.

Doctrine and Covenants Section 59:5 - 6 differs somewhat from
Matthew 22:36 - 40 in the KJV.

So you are saying that Matthew 22:36 - 40 in the KJV has not been translated correctly?
Verse 40 of Matthew 22.
Thanks!

No, I personally do not believe that wearing linen and wool mixed together is against the two great commandments of L0VE.

In LDS teaching, can a person sustain the president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as the prophet, seer, and revelator and disobey what they say?
Yes, it happens, people also disobey the commandments. People also disobeyed Moses. People should obey God's prophets. We should also honor our parents:

(New Testament | Matthew 19:19)

19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
