Fine -- 100% of Christians ever born, alive today, and will be Christians tomorrow believe IN THE BEGINNING, GOD.
That's not what I meant. The list you posted contained a couple of items most definitely not believed in by all Christians (a worldwide flood and plenary verbal inspiration in particular) and who knows what other Protestant novelties could be found in your "et cetera."

I don't think you can be sure there are no Dyson swarms in our own galaxy, let alone the other billions out there. Similarly, we can be reasonably sure there's no galaxy-spanning civilization in our own galaxy, but other galaxies are too distant to know.

I have my doubts there has been time for a galaxy-spanning civilisation to develop, given that it takes several generations of stars to produce the abundance of heavier elements for life and technology to develop, and travel between stars takes a very long time and requires very advanced technology.

I think it's more likely that von Neumann probes from a single point of origin could have spanned a galaxy than a civilization per se.
I certainly can't be sure there are none.

But it would only take millions of years for an expansionist civilisation to engulf a galaxy... and that would be visible from a very long way, away.

I think in general you are right about the time not really being there... but star generations are a lot shorter when you are dealing with larger stars, which were more common in the earlier universe.

If we find life somewhere other than earth, it's likely to be very simple; unicellular or small multicellular beings invisible to the naked eye.
Even if they were only unicellular, one could still potentially detect them from a considerable distance, either by their atmospheric signature, or by distinctive colouration varying with the seasons (algal blooms, etc).

That's a very long time for a civilisation to persist, and - assuming they found a way to travel between stars, communication between star systems wouldn't be very practical... Also, why would they be visible from outside the galaxy?

Prayer.

IN THE BEGINNING, GOD ...

The existence of sin.

Children in the womb.

Verbal plenary inspiration.

The Resurrection.

A worldwide flood.

Et ad nauseum cetera.
Scientists arent trying to deny those things.

They just end up denying some of them them incidentally.

Can you give an example of something that all Christians believe which there are many scientists trying to deny?
In this case not all Christians believe that life on other planets is a priori impossible on account of what the Bible says.

All Christians believe in our God and that He exists. Many scientists are actively doing everything in there power to make that belief system look bad to the rest of the world. I thought it was obvious.

Also, I have no problem with other Christians believing life on other planets to be impossible, I just like to keep a somewhat open mind.

The world doesnt revolve around you and your belief system.

If scientists find things that are problematic for Christian doctrine, its not because they were "out to get you".

Scientists understand that it is impossible for science to disprove the existence of God. The only belief systems which are made to look bad are those which make preposterous claims which are disprovable by science.

Also, I have no problem with other Christians believing life on other planets to be impossible, I just like to keep a somewhat open mind.
They can think what they like about it, but the further claim that those who speculate that life on other planets might be possible are part of a conspiracy to deny the existence of God is an embarrassment to all Christians

A lot of scientists don't seem to understand that. Or at least some of the implications of it.

I personally really don't get why people say the Bible disproves the existence of life on other planets, or that the other way around would be true.

I am convinced there are at least a few scientists who are complicit in a conspiracy to deny the existence of God, and many who are unknowingly aiding that conspiracy.

I think what we need to realize is that scientists are individual human beings like anyone else. There are doubtlessly some atheist scientists who would hope that their findings would persuade people to not believe in God.

But conversely, this also means that there are some Christian scientists who would hope that their findings would persuade people to believe in God. The same can doubtlessly be said about scientists belonging to many other religions.

They must have slept through the required philosophy of science course. But you shouldn't confuse disproving the existence with such things as disproving biblical creationism.

Don't worry, they won't be able to.

Hello

I've always wondered if aliens existed. Many Christians say yes while many say no. Something I just read stated many Christians believe they do as why would God create such a huge universe? The answer to that was that to our minds it's huge but to God's, probably not. However, despite this, many Christians still believe aliens could exist.

Would God have created aliens and not told us? Would He have visited each creation separately and created a Bible separate for each species?

No, there are only demons posing as aliens.

I was able to snap a picture of a demon posing as an alien (or some guy who farted in a rubber suit).

You'd end up with successor civilisations given the time frame.

The reason you'd see it from outside a galaxy is the visible light would cut off and you'd just see the vast infrared glow of waste heat from the trillions of habitats, collectors and satellites.

We don't know for certain whether they do or not, but when you grasp just how many stars there are in our galaxy alone, it is phenomenally likely that they do exist.

Its a pity that statement doesn't mean anything though ..
I disagree.

Even limiting the idea of life being based on the same principles as life on Earth it's reasonable to assume the conditions that allowed the chemistry of early life to occur would happen many, many, many times across the universe.

I think one of the best sources of information I've found on the subject of whether or not there is life on other planets is in this youtube link below from a Christian in the UK;

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him

We no longer look to be served. We look to serve and give our lives for others. No longer fight for privilege, influence and status. We esteem others better than ourselves and put their interests above our own.

Peace be with all those in the body of Christ
