True socialism is a terrible thing.

I worked for the government, you don't want to give them too much control.

M

a) You obviously don't know what socialism is. Re-read the definition again.
b) I also worked for the government. Thank God for the work we did! Without government you have chaos and survival of the most corrupt.

What is your problem??

Socialism and communism and those such as Biden and Harris their supporters.
M

Oy vey! Why do you believe such absolute nonsense? I am a supporter of both Biden and Harris, and I am neither a socialist nor a communist.

Again, I'm convinced that you don't even know what socialism and communism are. This is just Trump hyper-propaganda to convince people who can't think for themselves that the opposition aren't really Americans. That in itself is anti-American.

You just post unjustified criticism over and over of those issues and people that you don't understand. Do you consider Christian behavior? We are told to love God and love our neighbor as ourselves. Why not follow God's command, reiterated by Jesus, instead of hating others?

Trumo would knock anybody who wasn't a clone of himself. Senator Kamala Harris is more than qualified to be President of the United States. Trump can't approve of any woman to serve in government -- or even moderate a debate or interview him for 60 Minutes. He thinks he sets an example and he does: the worst President in the history of this country. Just a little while longer and Trump is history!

My prayer is that we can return to the state of the country before Trump.

Trump's handling of coronavirus pandemic hits record low approval: Reuters/Ipsos poll
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Americans are steadily losing confidence in President Donald Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, with his net approval on the issue that has dominated the U.S. election hitting a record low in a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.

The poll taken Tuesday through Thursday, after Trump’s COVID-19 infection and weekend hospitalization, found 37% of American adults approved of the president’s handling of the pandemic and 59% disapproved.

Like really who could have done better with the handling of the CV?

Surely not Biden.
His track record -- nothing for 50 years.

M

Oh Bob, why do you spend so much effort posting things like this? Joe Biden has been a career politician, serving this entire country for many years under Presidents from both parties. He was in the US Senate for 36 years and was Vice President four 8 years.

Why don't you come up with some (verifiable) facts instead of posting irrelevant stuff over and over and over?

FYI, 8,640,000 have contracted COVID-19 with Trump in the White House, and 225,000 Americans have died from the virus. Trump says it's not a problem!!

Biden, for example. He was on the team that quickly controlled the Ebola and H1N1 outbreaks. Those epidemics were devastating in other nations, but not here. Now, the United States is worse off than most of the rest of the world, because we have an incompetent president, who had disbanded the pandemic team Obama and Biden set up.

His track record --

Two other outbreaks, quickly controlled. Compare to Trump's bungling of the COVID-19 pandemic. Is it any wonder that Americans are fed up with Trump?

Pretty much anyone who had a bit of knowledge was less self focused and cared about people could have done a better job. Don't take this wrong but you could have probably done a better job with it if you'd been President than President Trump did, you've been involved in helping people (well done bro! ) for many years, you would know who to listen to (and who to ignore) in situations where people would be dying. And you have a heart that understands: people are more important than elections. President Trump lacks all of those abilities. Worse, he sees them as liabilities and weaknesses rather than as strengths. So, yeah I can off the top of my head point out that you, Mountainmanbob, could have done a better job than President Trump has.

Surely not Biden. (snip)
Most definitely he could have done a better job.
tulc(also thinks The Barbarian would have done a way better job than President Trump)

No, there is no wonder. It isn't possible to handle the COVID-19 pandemic worse than Trump has handled it: no problem, just ignore it or drink some bleach and watch 225,000 Americans die (so far) while you're in office (or on the golf course).

Joe Biden. Early on, he came out with a medically-valid plan that would have saved tens of thousands of American lives if it had been implemented. Trump just lied to us,to prevent a "panic." Better, he thought, for all those people to die than to be "panicked."

Surely not Biden.

Obama and Biden's plan worked very well, to stop the H1N1 and Ebola outbreaks. But they told Americans the truth, unlike Trump, who lied to us. And there was no "panic."

Biden's track record? Two virus outbreaks contained and ended.

Trump's track record, one outbreak bungled with a quarter-million Americans dead because of it. That's Trump's legacy.

You'll sign your social security checks over to me then, since you want no part of Socialism?

(also, NEVER call 911, or accept help from the Fire dept. or Police, as such would also be participating in socialism)
(ohh... don't drive on the freeway either...or even use gasoline, and you should definitely cancel your Internet Service, as all of those require socialism in order for you to participate in their use)

Want to end any threat of socialism? Ask Otto:

It was 1881, and German chancellor Otto von Bismarck had a serious socialist problem. He’d passed the Anti-Socialist Law of 1878, which banned Social Democratic meetings, associations and newspapers, but he couldn’t remove the party outright from the Reichstag. The socialists still found favor with too many constituents.

The political climate of the era was a result of German unification, the period stretching across the 19th century and culminating in 1871, when 26 small states, principalities, duchies and territories formed the German Empire. But thanks to the German constitution, Bismarck didn’t have to worry about pleasing the populace; his chancellorship was approved solely by Wilhelm I. But with the European economy in free fall, a nearly successful assassination attempt on the kaiser, and a short-lived but bloody socialist uprising in France, Bismarck was determined to undermine a party that he saw as a danger to the volatile new nation state. So the Iron Chancellor came up with a masterful plan: beat the socialists at their own game by offering health insurance to the working class.

“That was a calculation,” says historian Jonathan Steinberg, the author of Bismarck: A Life. “It had nothing to do with social welfare. He just wanted some kind of bribery to get social democratic voters to abandon their party.”

Bismarck didn’t care what the program—Krankenversicherungsgesetz—was called or how it was described, as long as citizens knew that the state—his state—coined the idea. “Call it socialism or whatever you like,” Bismarck said during the 1881 Reichstag public policy and budget debates. “It is the same to me.”
Bismarck Tried to End Socialism’s Grip—By Offering Government Healthcare | History | Smithsonian Magazine

It worked. Of course, it gave people the benefits of socialism, without actually putting socialists into power. Which was just fine with Otto.

Really? I guess that's why the stock market went down 650 points today.

Investors are fed up with Trump's mishandling of the coronavirus and the economy--and since investors are the only citizens he cares about, imagine how everyone else must feel!
