A lot of damage could be done by Harris/Biden in those 2 years. That would reveal so much about what they and their allies in Congress really want. Just like the Republican landslide victories during the mid-terms of Bill Clinton and Barack Hussein, it would be likely to happen again 2 years from now.
We'll see. The problem with the Democrats is that they aren't nearly as unified as the media makes them out to be.

Quote from your link:

Mr. Bobulinski said that he was rankled by Joe Biden’s public statements that he never discussed the international business activities of Hunter and other family members. He also cited nearly $5 million in payments that a Senate Republican report last month said CEFC made to Hunter Biden’s law firm as another reason to come forward.

Mr. Bobulinski said he took part in a meeting with Hunter, Joe Biden and Joe Biden’s brother James Biden in Los Angeles in 2017 when they discussed “the Biden family business plans with the Chinese, of which [Joe Biden] was plainly familiar at least at a high level.”
Biden would have been a private citizen in 2017 ...

Sounds like you're describing the current House democrats who are even willing to vote "No" to emergency Covid funding multiple times as an attempt to hurt Trump and help Harris/Biden in an election year.
If I thought that is why they are voting 'no' I would agree with you.

I think they think that the Republican package is too thin and this will be the last package to get through until next year or even maybe spring depending on the election.
I think they want to get more money to the states to help them with the cost of covid.
The Dems. came down by about a trillion dollars but the Republicans won't add money to their's and meet them half way.

Why do you think Republicans won't compromise?

Trump was a private citizen before 2016. So his taxes should be a non issue
Americans have an interest in the financial past of their potential presidents.

The same goes for Biden ... and he has released 22 years of his tax returns.

My point is that there was no inherent scandal in Biden participating in any particular business dealing ... as long as he wasn't in office. What's being implicated is that he was a participant in political corruption. Can't do that out of office ...

hislegacy said: Joe Biden was involved with his son Hunter’s business, and it was not a business in which a future president ought to be involved. The Bobulinski statement published by the Post reads in part:

LOL, you can't have it both ways.

He can't be "sleepy Joe, the gaffe machine, who is so stupid he makes the most inarticulate, lazy, and mentally unfit president in history look smart...

And simultaneously be so sharp that he can work full-time as Obama's vice president while being "involved with his son Hunter's business."

Keep playing both angles--most people know neither is true.

Except that since he has been president he has paid $750 a year in taxes claiming a very questionable deduction based on a refund he believes he is entitled to due to the bankruptcy of the Taj Mahal casino in 2004...
A refund he was NOT entitled to because he received something of value, a 5% stake ina large casino company, in the bankruptcy process.
And so his false deductions while he was president have their roots in the preceding 12 years of fraudulent taxes.

EXCEPT - I have never said any of that - your reply is moot

Not one of those is based in established facts.

Let's just look at the Democratic media byline "false deductions" and refunds he was not entitled to.

Please point to where the IRS has filed charged, sued or said any of that.

Yes. I had thought Pelosi's rejection was a bit too machievellian until I thought about this issue. We probably can't afford more than one additional large bailout. Doing it in January, with the money directed to the right places, may do a better job of positioning us for recovery than doing a bad bill now.

I wonder if the press is reacting to some extent to the Clinton email controversy. As an IT guy I can tell you that she was reacting reasonably to a government IT operation that was unwilling to support her. The fact that Trump is willing to declassify all the emails suggests that he agrees that nothing really dangerous was in them. (Remember, who she invited to dinner was technically classified.)

But the press allowed this rather minor event to get strung out for months as it if were a major scandal.

We're now seeing continuing effort to smear Biden, with marginal information, some sourced from Russian propaganda. Continuing coverage of these attempts would be misleading. There have been articles in the sources I read from time to time. They just don't give it the continuous publicity that the Russians and Republicans would like.

Negative - it is NOT sourced from Russian propaganda - that is not accurate in any way shape or form. Enough already with the Russia, Russia Russia cry.

They are from a computer brought to a repair shop in the US - confirmed true and not contested.

The computer was left by a person identifying himself as Hunter Biden - confirmed true and not contested.

The emails are genuine with headers, recipients and personal information - confirmed true and not contested.

An independent witness has come forward testifying to their authenticity - confirmed true and not
contested.

The DOJ has a copy of the material and it was earmarked in an investigation - confirmed true and not contested.

Please - give the Russia narrative a rest - 3 years, $40,000,000, 19 attorney's, 40 FBY agents, 1,000,000 pages of documents, 2,800 subpoenas. And it did NOT find a connection between Trump, his team and the Russians.

What is astonishing is how much evidence you need to believe anything negative about the president, and how little evidence you need to accept baseless conspiracy theories.

Evidence? Like this -

That kind of evidence?

Or would you prefer an unverifiable report from an anonymous source, then hearsay testimony that would have never made it to a court - but is good enough to impeach a President.

Problem for Trump is, as Huckabee explained, that people don't care about that. They care about the way the economy has tanked, and about the quarter-million dead Americans because Trump lied to us about how bad it was.

Rudy Giuliani didn't help things with that email scheme that the evidence now shows came from a Russian source, and appears to include doctored emails.

... and anything involving Joe occurred AFTER he was out of office in 2017, ... at least, according to the evidence you cite ...

They aren't winning the House with a failed President at the top of the ticket. Trump is dragging down the entire gop at this point.

maybe, maybe not. We will see in less that two weeks
