Biden said he will ask a ‘bipartisan commission of scholars’ for recommendations ‘as to how to reform the court system.’

October 22, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) — In an apparent attempt to defuse lingering question as to whether he would “pack” the Supreme Court as president, Democrat nominee Joe Biden will establish a “bipartisan commission of scholars” to propose ways to “reform” the federal judiciary, if elected.

“Court-packing” refers to expanding the number of Supreme Court justices to rig outcomes in the president’s favor, which President Franklin D. Roosevelt famously attempted in hopes of stopping the court from striking down his New Deal economic policies. Modern Democrats and their supporters have called for doing the same if they regain power, particularly as a response to the impending confirmation of President Donald Trump’s third Supreme Court nominee, Judge Amy Coney Barrett.

In a new interview with 60 Minutes, the former vice president said he will ask a “bipartisan commission of scholars” to “come back to me with recommendations as to how to reform the court system because it’s getting out of whack.”

Trump is standing in the way of the World Economic Forum which Biden represents. The global entity had plans of resetting the US four years ago. I doubt their agenda will stand for another four year delay in their plans. To pursue the agenda it will be necessary to not necessarily dismantle the constitution, but remake it over in their own image. That is why the push for constitutional reform and new amendments on the part of the left.

As for the Supreme Court, it cannot change the Constitution , it can only enforce it. However the Dems need the SC to act in their favour in order to continue appeasing their base of the radical left who are their foot-soldiers.

No doubt "bipartisan" in the mold of the Presidential Debate Commission or the Transition Integrity Project - that is, composed of confirmed Democrats on one side and RINOs on the other.

Funny that Biden should say the courts are getting out of "whack" (sic), because they have been doing Democrat's bidding for decades. Only now, just as we actually might soon have a conservative majority on the SC, is it that we suddenly have a court problem.

If a neutral body has become partisan, then it no longer serves the purpose it was intended for.
