It's ok, I've seen this sort of mindset before - people who claim they are being open minded, but repeat the same factless trash that most Trumpets spout. It is obvious what sort of person they are.
Despite your uncharitable description I would say it is better than justifying any behavior from your guy as long as you can say the other is just a bit worse.
I agree and disagree with both of you.
I've seen tall's posting history. In general, he's fairly non-partisan. Does it mean he gets everything right all the time? No, but none of us do. He's correct that there's corruption in the Democratic party, and that Biden has been involved in questionable practices over the years. Biden is absolutely deserving of some criticism.
That being said, it's not "Trump is just a bit worse" than Biden. It's not even close to an equivalency. Trump believes himself to be the rightful king of the US, and has been steadily removing government oversight and checks on executive authority. He is a clear danger to American democracy.
I understand not wanting to vote by someone you deem a "war criminal", but despite people's claims to the contrary, there are only 2 legitimate choices this year. A protest vote for a third party candidate is meaningless, and can absolutely contribute to the far greater evil winning the election. I'm not saying "a vote for a third party candidate is a vote for Trump" (it isn't), but i am saying that i believe it's not a morally sound choice.
As far as the topic of this thread, while there's probably some underlying truth to Hunter Biden using his father's name to increase his wealth, the information, as presented by Giuliani and his surrogates is questionable. There are too many clear questions about what is presented (i.e. why is it copies of emails, rather than emails with metadata?). While i believe it should be looked into, what is being presented should definitely be viewed with some skepticism.
