This forum is for those who believe in the spiritual gifts.

Several prophetic voices are saying ramp up praying, reading His Word, spending time with God. Get ready for war - armor up.

Thought of these:
"But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." Matt 6:6

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." II Chron 7:14

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand ." Eph 6

Hi @tturt so lovely to see you again, :)

I'm not on CF as often as I would like so it's lovely to see a familiar face

My church has just recently started up a study on toughening up so to speak in terms of putting on the armour. Both within myself as well as seeing what others are 'seeing' there seems to be a sense of preparedness but that this preparing season is coming to an end.

Your thread reminded me very much of that feeling

The thing that stood out so far was the roman soldier's breast plate. So when Ephesians 6:14 refers to the breastplate of righteousness it got me thinking about our righteousness. Our righteousness is through faith in Christ (Phil 3:9) - the breastplate on a Roman soldier was to protect his heart from attack. Our faith in Christ protects our heart (some Bible translations refers to our mind as 'heart') from the attack of the enemy.

So in my case it is currently imperative that my focus is on Christ. :)
