3 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns(two kings-Media and Persia, as is written in the verse 20): and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last-(so, the last was Persia).
4 I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.

Comments about the little horn, and about the daily sacrifice that was taken away (verses 9to11)

9 And out of one of them(out of the fourth notable ones-fourth kingdom) came forth a little horn(chap.7:v.7-8),which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land- (Holy Land-Israel).

DETAIL: In the first vision, as is written in the chapter 7(see 8;v.1), the fourth kingdom is described as follow:

Dan.7:v.7- ...and behold a fourth Beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the Beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. NOTE VERY VERY IMPORTANT: From verse 9 onwards or henceforth the PROPHECY jumps from the time of the appearance of fourth kingdom BC, to our days, to the present time, and even to times to come soon yet. The Abomination of Desolation manifested not itself yet, but it will happen in this new decade. Can you discern this?

10 And it (the little horn) waxed great, even to the host of heaven (God's people-the Christian people-the Church); and it cast down some of the host (believers) and of the stars to the ground(1/3 -by the TAIL -angels of the Churches-Revelation 1:v.20), and stamped upon them.

11 Yea, he (the little horn) magnified himself (magnified as God) even to the prince of the host(Michael-Revelation 12), and by the little horn the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.

COMMENTS - THE DAILY SACRIFICE IS TAKEN AWAY BY THE LITLLE HORN

Identifying the little horn, by whom will be taken away the daily sacrifice, and the place of sanctuary will be cast down.

Paul Apostle prophesied about the little horn who comes from the ten horns, who is from the tribe of Dan, as prophesied Jacob: Genesis 49:v.16-17. Check it out. Paul said: 2 Thessalonians 2:v.4-7-
4 Who (will) opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the MYSTERY of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

THE DISPENSATION OF GRACE WILL CEASE

Josephus confirms above the understanding of the Jews of his time, who knew that Daniel had predicted the events of 167 BC, by Antiochus Epiphanes.

We find below that the Jews of Jesus time understood this because they celebrated Hanukkah each year.

Jesus Christ is not a Nation. The church is not a Nation. The only birth of a Nation in a day is the House of Jacob. Not even the house of Abraham, because there are many nations in Abraham's House.

A Nation cannot be symbolic for Christ unless He actually sets up a Nation on earth. The church cannot represent such symbolism, because the church is in Paradise and does not return until the New Jerusalem in the next reality. Nation can only be symbolism for Israel, the House of Jacob. No two peoples on earth, because the church is not on earth, but in Paradise. The only people on earth are the descendants of Jacob. Whoever thinks the church is physical and has been in control of earth's governments have the harlot church in view, not the church in Paradise.

Pentacost was just a large living symbolism of what happened in Paradise. The one at the ascension on Resurrection Sunday was larger than Pentecost. I know many quibble over that fact. The Cross was the birth pang, that gave birth to the spiritual church. There is no physical church. This life is just "preschool".

And also take the squabble between covenant and new covenant theology vs dispensationalism to your own thread...preferably in another forum designed for systems of theology discussion.

Peter's letter was addressed to physical Christians on earth, in the present tense.

They have been the NT spiritual nation on earth ever since Pentecost.

You all and your cherry picking symbolism. How about those 1000 years on earth after the 70th week? Seems you all are still contradicting your own theology.

We are all waiting on you to show us any Bible scholar on the planet who agrees with your interpretation of Daniel 9:27.


And then you claim the New Covenant is not found in Daniel 9, because the resurrection is not mentioned, even though the resurrection is not found in most New Covenant passages.
The resurrection is not found in Jeremiah 31:31-34, or Hebrews 8:6-13, or Hebrews 10:16-18.

The difference the words "new covenant" is found in Jeremiah 31, Hebrews 8.

But not in Daniel 9.
