Hi all,

I've been praying day and night for something huge ever since January. I thought to myself: "Well, many don't have because they do not ask, and surely if this is not something my Father wants for me and my family, He'll make that clear". I can trust God that if indeed I'm on the wrong path, He will tell me as God said through David in psalm 25:9...

After many revelations, both direct and indirect (through my family members), I can say that I'm 99,99 % confident that what I ask Him of will come to pass, and when it does, oh man what a great testimony you'll all see in this forums from me!

At this point, it's not a matter of "if" what I ask Him of will come to pass. Now, it's a matter of "when".

Therefore I implore you all to ask our dad in Jesus name through the Holy spirit to make it very clear to me "When" my petition I ask Him of will come to pass. He has been silent for a worrisome time by now, although I can sense His presence whenever I pray. Please ask Him specifically this, and tell Him that if possible, let Him speak to me through the Holy spirit rather than through a dream!

Hello @DirectionSeeker, I will pray as per your request, but I've found that it is best not to try to second guess the Almighty ;) He always answers our prayers, typically with "yes", "no" or "wait", whatever He knows is best for us and our growth in Christlikeness.

I believe that it is best to pray, and then to completely trust God with the outcome, come what may (and in whatever timing He alone knows is best).

In the meantime, carefully consider this wonderful command, and the wonderful promise that goes along with it when we correctly obey it. Just FYI, the key to obeying this verse's command is found in always chasing after Him, NEVER after the things that we want from Him.

Psalm 37
4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Praying for you!

God bless you!

Psalm 37:4 is the foundation I've based my petition on. At the same time, I humble myself before God by acknowledging to Him in prayer that while what I ask him for is truly what I inexplicably crave for, only He knows if the goods outweigh the bads should this petition come to pass. It's the right attitude to have - I love God for who He is, not for what He can do for me in this life. Many people pray for things without asking for God's wisdom - sometimes something can seem just right in every way, but it may still not be God's will for your life. This is why I've prayed for wisdom regarding my petition.

What I ask for will fundamentally change my life and my family's. God said in psalm 32:8: "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." It is only because of what He has revealed to me both directly and indirectly pertaining to this petition that I today can say: "My dream will definitely become real". My confidence is in other words not the result of taking a verse out of context and say: "It said my prayer will be answered, therefore I can ask for whatever and expect a yes every time". That would be prosperity gospel.

I can, like 1 John 5:14-15 says, be confident that what I ask Him for will happen. And honestly, it is this confidence that makes the wait a bit easy, even though it has been long. It's like hearing from a friend that the test results in school were leaked and I had received an A on the math test. It removed all anxiety, and the day the teacher officially handed out the test results I had no anxiety at all, for I knew what I had gotten through my friend. God is truly my best friend, and just like psalm 25:14 says, He confides in those who fear him. It truly is an awesome feeling knowing beforehand what to expect. I don't have to worry about it being a no anymore.

Thank you for your prayer!

i asked The Lord that His will be revealed in your life and that you will have peace with it whatever the outcome.

The trick is to be in God's truth when you make a requests from God for then the answer is always yes. For it are often times our truths which stand in the way to finding God's truth. That is why a contrite heart is almost always answered, for it numbers itself away, while a truth seeking heart often times has to learn to seek in His word after revealed truth, rather than run after prophecies coming from the lips of people, for then it is much harder to know if they are true or not.

Peace.

I agree with the first answer, that you shouldn't second guess the Almighty. Have you ever realized how big it is that the grass is growing, and more then this, that we that die like the grass might just experience salvation from this life, and live for ever and ever? Have you penetrated the mystery of the cross and seen all God's wisdom in this? Do what you can with what you have been given, and you will be given more. This much is clear. Be blessed in all things, trust in Christ and might all your days be filled with joy and the peace larger then understanding.

God challenged Solomon, what would you ask of me, wealth, long life, the death of your enemies, ask!

Solomon asked for wisdom. Wisdom that he might benefit others by ruling well.

Paul wrote that he had learnt to be content in what ever situation he was in.
His prayers like Solomon's were always for the benefit of others.

So how will your prayers benefit others?

I'm praying for you but I really want to post something sobering on this subject....

I got lots of experiences on this sort of thing. Lots of disappointments, as well as some testimonies.
And I even have a similar kind of prayer request to what you are doing right now.....

The problem is people often have to adjust their attitudes and other ways of thinking when it comes to this stuff. And I think it is fair to point out some of the most notable people in the Bible like Abraham. God blessed him with all kinds of things, but the thing he really cared the most about was not granted till extreme old age.....

Hi Pavel! Is it possible to PM one another here? I'd like to hear some of your stories - namely one of those disappointments you mention and one testimony. I'd like to - if you don't mind naturally - understand how your communication with God looked like in both instances and see where they differed!

Thank you all for the prayers!

Hi all!

Thanks for your prayers.

It seems like God actually did answer my question. I heard - in a dream as I asked the same question - "in 5 weeks".

I beg you all to please pray again. I want God to confirm this. It would seem like week 48 is the week I finally get my prayer answered, but I want a confirmation.

So please - pray the same prayer again! Ask Him to reveal the date again.
