The Gamer Thread

Last week, I finally got around to trying VRChat. The mirrors are my favorite feature. They'll probably get old after a while, but I hadn't seen my reflection in VR before. It's a neat experience. The available avatars are okay, but I'd like something that fits me better. I should try to model and import my own characters. That might take a while, but it would totally be worth it.

Anyway, I invited a colleague and we spent our weekly happy hour there rather than on Zoom. It was a nice change of pace.

You should get it. I'm having loads of fun. There are also so many challenges to complete. It pretty much has the same classic feel as the old games with updated graphics. You can also create your own park and upload it for others to play.

Just beat The Last Of Us Part 2. Certainly a sequel story I was not excepting. Kind of sad it's over.

Oh, I'm a gamer at heart. Being gaming for as long as I can remember. Only started to get back into League of Legends again as this heat is causing me some odd coughs, which is good in some ways, but certainly procrastinate more, probably heh.

Yeah, especially towards the end. When you fight the human characters they have so much weight and feel so lifelike. Other games are going to feel more empty. Not sure if there will be a Part III and who would star in it. I'll probably be around 40 by the time it's released.. lol.

Yeah, love Naughty Dog franchises known for making immersive story-based games. But I do question the direction they took with Part 2. That said, I did enjoy the new main characters and hope to see more of them if they ever do a Part 3.

I have been playing games since I was about 6yr. Now I have switch and Xbox one. Also I have Nintendo ds. I don't have much time to play these days but my favorite games for last 1,5 years has been animal crossing, we happy few, portal, Sonic racing, Mario kart and just dance 2020/2021.

I don't play video games much. Occasionally I'll play a 3DS, Wii, or older Nintendo system game.

Only game I play consistently is the Pokemon TCG online game, as well as Pokemon Go if you want to count that

I just finished working my way through Sniper Elite 4 again. For giggles. I captured clips of some of my best 'shots' in the game, trimmed them, and put them together. Over 130 shots at over 1 hour of running time. LOL

I play my xbox and super nintendo classic from time to time.
I play nba 2k and cod on xbox. I'ma gamer and have been since I was about 5. I usually play at night for a few hours to help unwind.
other than retro games I only like playing multiplayer games against real people .

Horizon Zero Dawn and Tony Hawk 1 + 2 remake is mostly what I've been playing as of late.

Think I'll buy Grand Theft Auto 4 from steam. As a console player I'm saddened this title isn't on the PlayStation store.

Probably the only Grand Theft Auto game I've never played.

I bought Super Mario 3D Land about a month ago b/c I don't have many 3DS games, I played it once, but haven't touched it since. It's fun, but that's just how little I play video games outside the Pokemon TCG online. I'm the kind of nerd that's more interested in books & learning then video games & movies.

I'm definitely a gamer! My love of video games started with the original Smash Bros. game for N64 when I was four years old. I wasn't any good at it but I still enjoyed it, lol. I'm especially a fan of Mario, Sonic, Kirby, and Bomberman games! I still play almost all of the games I enjoyed as a kid.

Currently I've been having fun playing Pokemon Cafe Mix, Super Kirby Clash, and Pokemon Quest on the Nintendo Switch (along with some Sonic Adventure DX for Gamecube at times, because I have some things to take care of with the Chao )! But sadly since they are free games, you can only play so much before you have to take a break and wait to get more tries. I'd like to try Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Smash Bros. Ultimate someday. The new Super Mario 3D World+Bowser's Fury looks like fun, too.

Oh NICE! Did you play Pokemin Sword or SHIELD?

Started playing the steam version of Turok 2 again recently, which was ported from the N64 version from back in the day. Still as challenging as ever - I love the introduction of platforming elements and level of difficulty. Although, they probably made it so difficult to force players to buy the strategy guide.

Also, you can tell I favor the shotty.

When I used to play video games a lot, I’d favor the RTS (Real Time Strategy) like Starcraft. Something about throwing together a large army of units satisfied me.

I started playing Pokemon: Let's Go, Eevee! and I have one word to use to describe this game: ADORABLE!

I named my Eevee Fluffy; during my childhood, that was a name I commonly used for Eevees that appeared in my stories.

I still haven't touched it again.

But my friend had me buy a Yu-Gi-Oh GBA game to help me learn the TCG so I did & I was playing that last night. It's pretty cool. I prefer older games, especially 2D games like GBA/GB/NES/SNES games
