Even after all these years ...

Supposedly, one shouldn't shout, "Fire! Fire!" in a public building when there's no fire. That's reasonable. But what happens if there's a supernatural fire that no one but a few seem to notice? Shouldn't those few give the rest a heads up as to where to find the ... ?
