Do you see that the messiah is the one who would fuifill the Jeremiah 31 new covenant in Daniel 9?

Yes. It is found below.

The New Covenant promise:

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

.............................................

Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

...............................................

Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
(Quoted from Jeremiah 31:31-34)
Heb 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

Act 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

You have found that the 70 weeks will be complete when the Jews and Jerusalem have embraced the new covenant in Christ. The 70 weeks are not complete yet.

The Jews and Jerusalem have not said to Jesus - blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

You asked me for the scriptures about the New Covenant in Daniel 9, and I gave them to you.

Now you respond with your words, instead of scripture.

What is wrong with this picture?

We are to believe what Gabriel said was correctly passed on from Daniel.

Do you think that Daniel, under Holy Spirit inspiration, may not have correctly passed on what Gabriel said?

You did not respond pointing to words "new" covenant in Daniel 9 because the word "new" covenant does not appear.

I am not the one implying Daniel nor Gabriel did not pass on what is written in the text of Daniel 9.

BAB2 is trying to create that impression. BAB2 is implying that the angel Gabriel talked to Daniel about the new covenant - but that part was not recorded in the text.

BAB2 wrote....

"Are we supposed to believe the angel Gabriel appeared to Daniel to reveal the timeline of the Messiah who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34, and then the angel failed to even mention the New Covenant?"

...BAB2 is coming up with his own encounter between Daniel and Gabriel, what the exchange was.

You did not respond pointing to words "new" covenant in Daniel 9 because the word "new" covenant does not appear.

Neither does the word "new" appear in Hebrews 10:16-18, which quotes part of Jeremiah 31:31-34.

If you deny the New Covenant was part of Christ's death foretold in Daniel 9, you are trying to make a man-made doctrine work.

If the idea was coming from me, it would not be found in the 1599 Geneva Bible, which is the Bible the Pilgrims brought to America.

Why do you not show us another source that agrees with you?

You are quoting commentary from the 1599 Geneva Bible, not scripture.

In Daniel 9, it does not say anything about the messiah cutoff, rising from the dead on the third day. Rising from the dead on the third day is an essential part of the new covenant in Christ.

If you deny the New Covenant was part of Christ's death foretold in Daniel 9, you are trying to make a man-made doctrine work.
You have that reversed. Jesus's death, the messiah cutoff, is part of the new covenant, but his death alone is not the new covenant in Christ but must include rising again on the third day.

Luke 24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

new covenant theology ignores and leaves out that the messiah rises from the dead the third day - as part of the new covenant - in it's (mis)interpretation of Daniel 9:27 as being covenant confirmed for 7 years.

The covenant to be confirmed for the 7 year cycle in Daniel 9:27 is the Mt. Sinai covenant by the Antichrist. A future event.

The statement above is coming from you in an attempt to make your doctrine work, but it is not found in scripture.

The scripture below proves the New Covenant was fulfilled at His death.

Heb_9:15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

You did not respond pointing to words "new" covenant in Daniel 9 because the word "new" covenant does not appear.
Look at the fuller context of the passage BABerean2 shared. As he already posted, Jeremiah 31 is quoted there....along with the fulfillment of Daniel's prophecy promise that sin would be removed (and no longer remembered)....not just continually covered as it had been during the Mosaic priesthood. Reading further, the author wrote:

Hebrews 10:19-24
19Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place (d) by the blood of Jesus, 20by the new and living way opened for us through the curtain of His body,(e)21and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.23Let us hold resolutely to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. 24And let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds

......IOW, what was hidden in Daniel's prophecy was that the covenental promises were fulfilled in Jesus. The contrast of covenants is typically about the superiority of Jesus's priesthood over that of the Levitical priesthood.

Hebrews 7
11Now if perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for on this basis the people received the law), why was there still need for another priest to appear—one in the order of Melchizedek and not in the order of Aaron? 12For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed as well.

Verse 20-21
20And none of this happened without an oath. For others became priests without an oath, 21but Jesus became a priest with an oath by the One who said to Him:

“The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind:

You are a priest forever.’ ”(c - Psalm 110)

Verses 27-28
27Unlike the other high priests, He does not need to offer daily sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people; He sacrificed for sin once for all when He offered up Himself. 28For the law appoints as high priests men who are weak; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever

Revelation and prophecy was given in part....not all at once. I see that as God’s understanding that humanity can't process His wisdom all at one time. We can only understand it in smaller, more manageable doses.

We have the benefit of hindsight.....thousands of years later....and, yet, here we all are as professed Christians not agreeing on what He's actually done. How much more confusing for those in Daniel's day had everything been laid out for them in the very beginning.

As Jesus said, "those who have ears, let them hear". There is only one everlasting covenant mentioned all throughout Scripture (which is what Daniel's prophecy was foretelling):

Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David. (Isaiah 55:1–3)

And God had sent other messengers to Daniel's people to explain this one coming (to them) covenant. Hosea and Jonah added revelation to the picture ("thus it is written" means His resurrection had been disclosed to them....but the disciples still needed Jesus to put those pieces together for them).

Hosea 6:2 says,"He has struck us and He will bind up our wounds; after two days He will revive us, on the third day He will raise us up and we shall live in His Presence."
Jesus had said the only sign He'd offer the Pharisees was the sign of Jonah:

Matthew 12:39 ~ But he answered them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

Matthew 16:1-4 ~ An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah. So he left them and departed

Some may think this is cheesy (or have other complaints about it) but I really appreciate the concise and easy way these videos are presented (in less than 6 minutes):

ETA: An interesting fact about the term "Son of Man":

This remarkable designation is the one the Lord usually applies to himself. It occurs thirty times in the Gospel according to Matthew, thirteen times in Mark, twenty-five times in Luke, and twelve times in John. In the Gospels it is never used by the historians or disciples as a designation of Christ, and is used only by the Lord in speaking of himself. Hence, it only occurs once beyond the range of the Gospels, in Acts 7:56, and the Lord never uses it after his resurrection. ~ Note on "The Son of Man. "

Do you think God wants a rebuilt temple, with renewed animal sacrifices in earthly Jerusalem?

Was Paul wrong about genealogies in Titus 3:9, if Kohen have been identified?

Has the New Covenant really made the Old Covenant "obsolete" in Hebrews 8:13?

Or, is this idea one of the greatest scams in the history of our faith?

.

1. Go d is saying that a temple will be rebuilt! But any student of the NT knows that the sacrifices will not be accepted.

2. No, but the fact that teh Levites and Kohens can be identified and they ar teh OT priests says much.

3. Yes and rendered it void!

4. Teh fact that the temple will be rebuilt is not a scam. Vsalues people may or may not place on that temple and its sacrificial system may be a scam.

1 Chronicles 28:2-4

2 Then David the king rose to his feet and said: “My kinsmen and my people! Listen to me! I set my heart on building a house where the ark for the covenant of Adonai could remain at rest. It would have been God’s footstool, and I prepared to build it.
3 But God said to me, ‘You are not to build a house for my name, because you are a man of war, you have shed blood.’
4 However, Adonai the God of Isra’el chose me out of my father’s whole family to be king over Isra’el forever; for he chose Y’hudah to be the leader; and in the house of Y’hudah, in the house of my father, and among the sons of my father, it was his pleasure to make me king over all Isra’el;

It can not be built in a time of war, by people with blood on their hands.

YOu asre projecting Davids prohibition to every single generation. You have no Scriptural warrantto do so.

The issue is - the convenant to be confirmed for 7 years in Daniel 9:26 is not the new covenant in Christ.

Mt Sinai covenant confirmed on a 7 year cycle.

New Covenant in Christ is not.

It is that simple.

The term Antichrist is not in Daniel 9:27. The person who confirms the covenant for 7 years is the prince who shall come is what is in the text.
