I am so sorry you are facing such troubles now. I have been through dark times too, when God seemed absent. I have no advice, but will pray for you. The Jesus Prayer was helpful for me during such times; sometimes it was easy to pray, and felt great; sometimes it was a struggle to pray, and I had to force myself. I am in a better place now. I pray that you will be soon. Lord have mercy on us.

Don't feel too bad, I think most of us can relate to having times of weak faith. A few years ago, when going through one of those times I found an old bookmark that said.

Trust Him when dark doubts assail thee,
Trust Him when thy strength is small
Trust Him when to simply trust Him
Seems the hardest thing of all. (It is part of this poem.)

I also find it uplifting to listen to Christian music, it helps me get back on track.

Well, you can continue on your present course and give Satan the victory, missing out on everything God has planned for you, or you can do as David did.

When David was running for his life from Saul, the king of Israel at that time, he no longer trusted God to protect him and he entered into the land of Philistines knowing Saul would not pursue him there. He disobeyed God in doing so.

Soon he found himself in an awful mess. Everything he owned including his family were stolen along with the families of his 300 mighty men. The 300 men were sore with David and began to talk about stoning David to death.

Having previously ignoring God, the scripture says, "and David strengthened himself in the Lord." David called on God, and God heard him, and gave back to David and his men everything they lost and even more.

You can give up, or you can claim Rom. 8:28,
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

You can go to God and pray, Lord I don't understand now why this is happening to me but I know it is working for my own good. I'm trusting you to see me through this and bring me out on the other side stronger in faith and love for you.

Try that, meaning it from the heart and see what happens!

What prayers do you feel God is not answering?

I often wondered if my faith was in God or my faith was in my faith. So I asked God to help me to have a proper perspective and live in the faith that He intended for me. I learned from the lesson in the Sermon on the Mount. If I build my house of faith on sinking sand it will sink. If I build my house of faith on the Rock it can withstand even my own doubts. So how do I build my house of faith on the Rock. I can’t even have faith without God’s help. So I prayed, “God help my unbelief” and He did. I determined, with His help, that I would trust and obey God. This meant I had to read His Word, pray-talk and listen- to my Father God and accept what it means to be a child of God’s. He knows my weakness and my strengths. He will meet me right where I am and is ready and able to help me walk with Him. These are His promises, these are the testimony of the giants of faith in the scriptures. God loves you. God has you here for a purpose and He will prepare and equip you with all you need to live for Him. I pray that you will be able to rest in Him. God bless you.
