Ever hear the phrase: ‘They caught him red-handed’? Well, I guess it’s no surprise, these days, the walking corpses traversing the earth’s surface are so much more used to the life of darkness and enjoy mutual support of the same, that the acts that once brought shame if discovered, are now weapons of widespread cultural grooming. Yeah, what about this updated driver of rationale? If the initiative itself could take form, rise up and be given voice, what would it tell us?

Would it describe a devious plot to subvert godly rationale, saying: ‘Come, we don’t really wish to contend with you, what we want to do is extend an invitation a benefit to cast-off feelings of lesser infractions and ethical behavior, honor of the prominent chain and live for those things you know provide gratification.’

I seem to repeat my concern of how we have brought fixated scorn by the world upon the Church made public in recent decades - laid waste, the fruits of the Lord’s own influence.

Or, is this loss of shame all too over-exaggerated?

Therefore, submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake

(1 Peter 2:13)

'The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness' (Romans 1:18)
This, is one of those for years, I used to breeze right over not including the fact that they were Bible readers,

v-25 They exchanged the truth about God

Just look at what the early believers were delivered from...

1 Cor 6
9Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

And this is how...

2 Cor 4
2but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

Adam means to be red .... red in the face (Esau ) who sold his inheritance for red lentils ... though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool ... red dragon ... red sea ... second seal riding a red horse etc etc

it is an issue of blood "Do not gaze at wine while it is red," when the women ( picture of our soul ) touched the cloak (covering which relates to perception ) of Christ she was healed of her affliction ...

Isaiah 28 - KJV
9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
13 But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
14 Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

Good selection here as well! There is something to be said for those who share in this as I. I've developed an in check confidence when considering prophesy, if context/symplicity permits, on occasion I'll skip over all tried and esteemed commentary to let the Spirit himself minister in hopes that I too, might not 'fall backward'.

I read your post and this verse came to mind. I also remembered language about the cornerstone the builders rejected from one of Jesus’ speeches. It is also in Psalm 108, a hymn of praise to the Lord.

So, if there are reservations over there actually being former members who have ‘gone out from us’ of this standard of depravity, it brings to my mind what I heard in a sermon years ago to the effect of,

We pass through this life chuck-full of all sorts of hardships and seemingly endless obstructions to the faith and general prosperity to the soul, but, it is quite another when we turn our demeanor into obstinance before God and he gives you over!

These are critical and heart wrenching decisions being made by our own who have bought the lie that there is greater ‘fulfillment’ to life elsewhere. We support these in prayer who have given themselves over” while considering within lest we also are tempted.

Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed.

(Ephesians 4:19)

Examples of this ignorance coming from said ‘Christian’ political leaders happens far too frequent,

"Calling People Animals Is Not A Good Thing" - Nancy Pelosi, U.S. Democratic Leader

Sorry 'GDL', I sincerely did mean to get back to you. And you are right to question my incomplete point that some of the Church's not too distant scandals' that have changed the course of her reputation in some cases, those of us familiar with workplace 'water-cooler' chats for a while there some years back, it seemed the Devil was being handed the reigns of several high-profile ministries incapable to correct a matter at hand if their steadfast composure was all that it was cracked up to be.

For there are many rebellious [fallen Christians] people, full of meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision group. They must be silenced, because they are disrupting whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach—and that for the sake of dishonest gain. One of Crete’s own prophets has said it: “Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.” This saying is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the [Christian] faith

(Titus 1:10-13)

Do correct me if you think this thread does not follow in the spirit of the Titus passage!

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of Godliness (refers to all the trappings of Christianity, but without the power), but denying the power thereof (the modern Church, for all practical purposes, has denied the Cross; in doing this, they have denied that through which the Holy Spirit works, and in Whom the power resides [Rom. 8:1-2, 11; I Cor. 1:18]): from such turn away (No half measures are to be adopted here. The command is clear! It means to turn away from Churches that deny or ignore the Cross.) II Tim. 3:1-5

The Bible doesn’t teach that the situation is going to get better and better, but, as stated here, worse and worse. It also teaches, as we see from Verse 5, that the Church will go into total apostasy. It will have, and presently has, “a form of Godliness, but denies the power thereof.”

What does “denying the power thereof” mean?

Paul said, “For the preaching of the Cross is to them who perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved, it is the Power of God” (I Cor. 1:18).

The Church is in apostasy; it has fallen asleep. The Church faith is not in Christ and Him Crucified, but only Christ. In other words they are proclaiming Christ while forsaking the Cross (the Blood of Jesus). Which is another Jesus. It has made a covenant with the Evil One, and the price is the blindness of the right eye, spiritually speaking; now they cannot see what is right or what is wrong (I Sam. 11:1-2). No covenant can be made with Satan — not of any nature. If we make anything the object of our faith other than Christ and His Cross, we are, in effect, whether we realize it or not, making a covenant with Satan.

As stated, the Church has already apostatized. The Church Age opened with Christ standing in the midst of the candlesticks, in which the candlesticks represent the Church (Rev. 1:12-13). At the close of the Church Age, which pertains to the present time, we no longer find Christ in the midst of the Church, but rather outside, knocking on the door, trying to get in (Rev. 3:17-20). The Lord is, in fact, no longer dealing with the institutionalized Church as a whole, but rather with individuals only.

“If any man hear My Voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me” (Rev. 3:20). So, who presently is saved?

As there was a “Remnant” in Israel who were saved, meaning that most were lost, likewise, there also is a “Remnant” in the modern Church who are saved, but only a Remnant. Israel had rejected much of that which was of the Lord, but when they rejected the Cross, there was nothing left. They were cut off. The modern Church has done the same thing. It has rejected much which is of the Lord, but now it is rejecting the Cross. As with Israel, if the Cross is rejected, that means the Righteousness of God is rejected, and that means the Church is also cut off — except for the “Remnant.”

Are you in the Remnant?

The only way that anyone can be in the Remnant is by accepting Christ and what Christ did at the Cross. There is no other way!"’

Many have come in by Way of the Cross, but have gone out through the many other ways offered by Satan, the world and the lust of their flesh (2 Peter 2:21). They have abandoned the Cross for other things. Phil. 3:17-18

The Cross of Christ is as necessary for sanctification as it is for salvation (1 Cor. 1:18).

NKJ Rom. 5:10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Sorry, but Jesus The Christ is Jesus The Christ and He is now resurrected & ascended to the right hand of the Father in Heaven in all power. Some of His last instruction was to go proclaim Him & His authority & teach all He commands.

Not once is the cross mentioned in the NT Scriptures without our life in the now ascended Christ being discussed also.

I think most of us are resolved & know of His life > His death > His resurrection > His ascension & current & eternal reign. And when we speak of Jesus we have all this stored in mind & can discuss whatever topic of Him is being discussed. He's no longer on the cross, but I do also know what He did there.
