Ephesians 5:
1
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself
for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.
3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once be
named among you, as becomes saints.
4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient:
but rather giving of thanks.[blessings]
5 For this you know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man,
who is an idolater
, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

1 Corinthians 10:14. Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

Paul in Ephesians 5 connects idolatry and covetousness. He also advises us to
flee from idolatry. We live in a world full of images designed to encourage us
to covet something. We must desire Christ alone to overcome the world. Let
The Lord give you the desires of your heart, and you will walk in Love.

Psalm 37:4. Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
