Maybe in Canada but certainly not in the UK. Here it was presented as a case of anyone could die from it and not just the vulnerable who are normally at risk from flu.
That's fine. I have no responsibility to convince you of anything. It is a well known fact that this virus was originally presented as a much more deadly illness than it ended up to truthfully be.
I had followed carefully what was being spoken and about a week before the schools were shut down in NY answered questions the kids had. I told them that they are saying that those who are older than 70 are most at risk as well as those who have asthma or a compromised immune system. Otherwise, there was little to worry about if you were young and healthy. That was in March. I think the message they are sending now is significantly more worrisome for people who are young and healthy than the one I heard in the Spring.
We are six months in and 200,000 Americans have died. By comparison the Spanish Flu which was around for 3 years and the second wave was the worst, the Spanish Flu killed an estimated 675,000 Americans. So although this pandemic is not as deadly as the Spanish Flu yet, you have to stress the term "yet". If we have 400,000 die in the second wave it will certainly be as deadly. We are getting better at treating it, and who knows, maybe the vaccine will come to the rescue.
All I'm saying is this... when it first broke out.. people felt like it was so bad that "If you get it... you may die".... Very scary stuff.
The problem with this is that they are counting every death they can as a covid death, even if they had so much as a sniffle [Don't get me started on the crappy tests and their outrageous false positive percentage]. Without testing or anything (due to hospital admin instructions most likely).
Wow, someone should tell the NBA, think of all the money they lost because of this "hoax" and the NFL, and all these companies that have declared bankruptcy, and Brazil (those mass graves they dug, was that a hoax as well?) and Mexico (the lines to the crematorium, they claimed they were burning bodies non stop and still it took days before you could get your family member cremated). It's amazing to me that hospitals trying to get government handouts could pull the hood over everyone's eyes, and I mean everyone. Not just in the US, or Brazil, or Italy, or Mexico, or the UK, or Germany, or Israel, but everyone.
Something more sinister, like everyone will be required to get the mark of the beast, a computer chip imbedded in you that can be read by RFID giving your metrics for your health? A vaccine that some claims makes them incapable of fellowship with God?
No, I don't refuse to see that. I see that. What I think is absurd is to extrapolate a small incentive to hospitals in the US that only began well into the pandemic to the entire worldwide pandemic is illogical to the point of being comical. It takes great restraint to not mock this mercilessly.
