I am looking for a better mp3 player. Currently I am using a Sandisk sport clip plus mp3 player I bought at Best Buy that only has 16 GB and that space will fill up soon. Currently I have been researching mp3 players on Amazon.com that have 128 GB capacity through an additional SD card.

Here is an example:

https://www.amazon.com/Victure-Blue...9Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

I want to explain that I am looking for an mp3 player that has no Internet access whatsoever, so as a result I will not be considering iPods. I am also not looking for a smartphone.

First I want to say that one of the most important things I am looking for in an mp3 player is an option to play only "new" music if you want to. That kind of option used to exist on a Sansa clip mp3 player I had used years ago, but the more recent Sandisk mp3 player I got does not have that option. If I am going to have 128 GB of storage space, the music collection I have gathered over the years can become so large that if I play the music on shuffle, the more music that is added, the less the newest music will play and I will feel overrun by the older music. I usually don't delete music unless I get really annoyed by it, and still can enjoy older music that I have. I listen to mostly Christian music but also have some albums by Yanni and also some smooth jazz.

If I am getting an mp3 player with SD card storage, I would possibly want to be able to switch between the SD memory and the internal memory. My flip phone puts all music on SD card alongside all music on internal memory and plays it all together. If I am not able to find an mp3 player that specifically has the option to play only newly added music, than if the SD card can be separate from the internal memory, than maybe all my newer music can be saved onto the internal memory before it is "archived" onto the SD card for longer term listening.

I also want bluetooth, FM radio, a section for audio books, and the ability to create and play playlists. Some extra ideas: The ability to play the songs in an album in sequential order if you select that album even if you are already in shuffle mode. The ability to choose what range of newer music to play (like 6 months, a year, or two years). The ability to mark certain songs that you still want to have, but that you do not want to play through the shuffle mode or normal play. The ability to mark certain songs that would play a larger proportion of times when on shuffle, if they are favorite songs. These extra ideas may be overkill in what I can expect in an mp3 player, but they are ideas I have thought of.

Would any of you have any recommendations about which mp3 player would be a good one to get with 128 GB storage space?

I'm really not that good with things like this but I own the Victure M6X. It's different from the one you linked. It has 128 GB capacity through an additional SD card. It's bluetooth. I just got it to put the Bible on through a KJV CD by Alexander Scourby. I did have sermons on there but I stopped listening to them.

Search for Victure M6X and have a look at the description and reviews. From my looking it doesn't seem to be on the US Amazon. Weird, it's on UK and Europe websites. It's a shame many of the big companies don't make mp3 players anymore. Although it is undestandable.

I think the MP3 you posted is basically a newer model of the one I have. I say get that one. It's seems to meet your requirements.

Try looking up the ipod classic or ipod nano. Neither of them have internet and you can get some with bluetooth and up to 160 gb storage capacity!

I looked at 160 GB ipod classics and even the ones on eBay were over 100 or 200 dollars so I'm not sure about getting them yet.

Think I remember that the old iPods require iTunes just to copy music over. Something to consider, plus no Micro SD card slot. The iPod classic is a HDD based player = small moving disk inside. For an mp3 player, flash memory is way better.

My opinion - get one that accepts large capacity Micro SD cards. Also a Micro SD adapter, if you have a full sized SD card reader on your computer. Or a small USB card reader, to transfer your files. Is much faster than a cable to player transfer.

It is not true that Ipods need Itunes. You can use other programs like MediaMonkey, RealPlayer, and more. Just so you know. As far as the price of an ipod, you can get used ones for cheap on Facebook Marketplace.

What others do is get a cheap smartphone coupled with an SD card and, if more storage is needed, OTG drives. With many apps to choose from, the same device can also be used for audio books, e-books, podcasts, music streaming, etc.

Also, research online, and one will find some budget or mid-priced phones with very good audio components.

I think I'll stay away from the Android and iOS devices and just figure out possibly one of the mp3 players on Amazon unless someone suggests a better choice. I still have not figured out an mp3 player that would have a setting where you can choose recently added music and just play new music. This used to exist on a Sansa Clip I had. However the Sandisk Sport Clip plus does not have such a function.

Another way to accomplish this would be to save the newer songs on just the internal memory and save the entire music collection on the larger SD card, and switch to just the internal memory for playback. However I don't know if that works because some devices will just lump the entire music collection from both internal memory and SD card together when playing on shuffle.
