Anyone else find these numbers troubling?

Jesus did not strike with a sword. He carried his cross.

They should have stricter gun control laws. Of the top ten global economies, the U.S. has the second highest murder rate. Russia has the highest murder rate of the top ten (indexmundi.com)

I wish this type of problems were so simple. One of my neighboors was murder last week by a knife, if she had a gun she could had defend herself.

As it SHOULD be.
Has no one considered that the "protesters, looters and thieves" may make up a substantial portion of those numbers? How can one be assured that only "the good" are the ones buying guns?

Yeah, the gun bootlegging operations.

Lot of profit to be made selling them where they're not so easy to buy.

Japan has some of the strictest gun control laws on the planet. No hand guns, no rifles, only shotguns. They have few gun stores. They banned swords. Their murder rate is 350 times lower than the U.S. The Buddhists are not supposed to kill people, neither are Christians.

More people die of gunshot suicide than are killed in home invasions.

Having a gun does not guarantee your protection. Families with a gun(s) in the house are more likely to lose a loved one(s) to gun shot death(s). People are capable of ambush. Drawing a gun might bring gunfire on a person by someone claiming self defense.

I am inclined to believe they may be PROVIDED them when the time comes to up the ante. They already have been provided with bricks, snacks, etc. Why would lawless people go through the legal process of buying guns? Many of the people authorities have been rounding up are criminals with varying rap sheets. Some of those could never legally purchase guns.

There is a gun show loop hole allowing sale of personal firearm without a background check. Neither party can close the loop hole due to the NRA lobby.

People are also very likely to use bleach and ropes, does this mean we should ban this products?

How will you defend your family against a mob from ANTIFA and BLM, what if they murder your kids and rape your wife. People need to have the right to defend themselves. From what I know Japan is safe thanks to its police and the Yakuza sindicate honor, from what I know they want to defund the police.
