What he really thinks: Trump mocks Christians, calls them "fools" and "schmucks"

Do you believe the article presents the truth or is it all a lie?

Some folks are ready/anxious to believe anything negative about Trump. Second/third hand rumor and innuendo.

What's so hard to believe about these claims? Not only do I not find it hard to believe he said them, I wouldn't disagree with them if he did. And I attend church regularly.

"...the president emerged from the session with contempt. “Can you believe that bulls**t?” he allegedly said. “Can you believe people believe that bulls**t?”
-- ‘Can you believe that bulls**t?’: Trump mocked Evangelical leaders after meeting them, claims Cohen

If this were only 1 report...if it were only 1 person, that'd not be enough to jump to any conclusion.

But we've heard more than 1 report about words behind closed doors in various situations.

And from more than 1 witness.

There have been many reports of various reprehensible words behind closed doors from many witnesses, including not only elected representatives, but even top administration positions...

Here's a widely reported example:

WASHINGTON (AP) — In bluntly vulgar language, President Donald Trump questioned Thursday why the U.S. would accept more immigrants from Haiti and “[bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]hole countries” in Africa rather than places like Norway, as he rejected a bipartisan immigration deal, according to people briefed on the extraordinary Oval Office conversation.

Trump’s contemptuous description of an entire continent startled lawmakers in the meeting and immediately revived charges that the president is racist. The White House did not deny his remark but issued a statement saying Trump supports immigration policies that welcome “those who can contribute to our society.”
Trump: Why allow immigrants from '[bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]hole countries'?

There are Sunday Christians. Christmas and Easter Christians. Once-a-year Christians. Once-in-an-election Christians.

Trump is the last kind.
You give him more credit than many others would.

These allegations are entirely consistent with his behavior over his adult life. If they are too easily believed, Trump has only himself to blame.

In extensive writing and speeches, Trump has declared his life philosophy is "revenge." That stance is aggressively anti-Christian.

Fits.
Reminds me of this. Sad.

Is what you said above what you said below?
Second/third hand rumor and innuendo.

If you say your neighbor said, "I don't like that guy who lives up the street." and you repeat that to the police, is that second-hand rumor and innuendo?

Is it just me or is there a actually nothing in that article that is in context? I mean it's claimed Trump said things, but where are the actual things/comments he is responding to?
Context is given throughout the article. Re-read it.

There is no other context which can change the conclusion of the article, anyway:
Trump then said he didn't believe in forgiveness. That is just as Cohen wrote: "Trump is not a forgiving person." Trump's words at the prayer breakfast made clear that he rejects the teaching of Jesus at Luke 6:27: "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you."

The question pastors should raise in their Sunday sermons, the question Cohen's book lays before them, is how can any Christian support a man who mocks Christianity, embraces revenge as his only life philosophy and rejects that most basic Biblical teaching—forgiveness.

Fits.
But many of his Christian supporters are after "revenge," too. Revenge for being deprived of their privileged position in the culture; revenge for being called deplorable. That's why they adulate Trump.

I really don't care. Still voting for him. I'm not voting for a religion, I'm voting for a United States President.
Right. A United States President who mocks the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ive made many mistakes and i dont feel like im any better then Trump or anyone else. But in this case it seems pretty easy to discern between what living with integrity looks like and what living with bad fruit looks like

Trump carries alot of bad fruit with him. If he was more humble and apologized for mistakes it wouldnt be a problem but hes claiming Christianity and putting a stain on it while also using it to obtain what he desires; voters

Let's take this for instance (S word removed from quote):

Later that day, Cohen writes, he met up with Trump in his office.

"Can you believe that bulls: Trump said of the laying on of hands. "Can you believe that people believe that bull."

What is he responding to there? The article shows nothing. As far as anyone knows Trump is 100% correct in his acessment.

You say:

there is no other context that can change the conclusion of the article,

Are you kidding!?

You are basically saying context doesn't matter, so between that and the fact the article offers no context at all, hence basically only tells half the story, the article is a complete joke.

Amazing how half a story is all some people need, or better said, all some people "want".

So, if you thought Satan would be a good president, you'd vote for him too?

Do you agree with Trump about the Laying On of Hands?
