Am I allowed to write homosexuality in my works?

I wondered just in general for example the realism of the story, the consequences of events, etc. Or is truly not allowed? The context of mine is, whilst it's not Christian fiction (it's sci-fi) but has biblical morals takes a lot of influence from the bible, a character goes through sexual abuse and is left more or less in the grey area of his sexuality, it's never truly defined but there is mention of him have homosexual relationships in his backstory. I would love to hear your opinions, perhaps even some scripture and genuine guidance on this. Thanks to whoever responds!

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

I may be off balance from others here by saying this, but I feel there is no harm in writing like this. Its fiction after all.

I think if it is mentioned as backstory it's not a big deal. If it were completely forbidden to mention, then it wouldn't be in the Bible.

There is a balance between mentioning something and promoting it.

I personally don't like any graphical sexual content in books, but I don't expect fictional worlds to be devoid of sexuality altogether because sexuality is a very real part of the human experience. It can be known or implied without being described or either promoted or discouraged.

I think it's okay, as long as you don't glorify it. If you have a lgbtq character, it's fine to incorporate homosexuality if you intend to teach the evils of it, but making it sound like a good thing is a very dangerous thing to do.

In both of my stories with women fashion designers, there are gay males, minor characters. In the fantasy world there is a royal family and the fashion master, the boss of a young farmer's daughter who runs away from her arranged wedding to work as a seamstress for the king, she shows kindness and mercy, God's love for her gay boss, when he is caught and shamed kissing another man, the king wants to fire him and banish him from the kingdom, but this girl defends him. The fashion style is 1700s, which was very effeminate, very frilly and fancy.

in the other story which takes place in the normal world in Atlanta GA the lady that designs formal wear, wedding dresses, she employs a young gay man who is confused, angry, hurt, rebellious over his sex preference. She shows him Christian love and guides him into getting saved and starts to be celibate, he eventually stops being homosexual.

Just curious, does the guy and the girl fall in love with each other by the end? Do they get married or...

Any kind of realistically toned fiction about some people will mention homosexuality. My hubby's dad was homosexual. Sweet man. Super great to our kids. Loving father-in-law. We miss him. He even hinted he had faith in Jesus once. Any kind of story inspired by such people will talk about it. As long you don't promote homosexuality as others said, you are fine. I think it would add to the depth of your story to have various backgrounds of your characters.

Guess Christ meets us where we are not where he is leading us to. We all have tortured and broken histories and maybe these are less important than finding Jesus as a friend ,a Saviour and ultimately a Lord
