This is a dream I had last night. If anyone has feedback or insight or is gifted with dream interpretation, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I was at some kind of big gathering with lots of other people, like a festival of some kind. I was walking outside with another young woman (no idea who) and we were walking over grass, I think it was a parking area, as we were getting ready to leave. I looked back the way we had come and saw a rainbow in the sky. I got excited and told her to turn and look with me. But the rainbow was only showing one red stripe and one white stripe; no other colors. I said "It's for America!" And as I said that, a blue stripe appeared too. Then the rainbow changed into what I can best describe as a huge image projected in the sky, square or rectangular in shape, like a giant TV screen. The red, white and blue stripes became red, black, and white (the "Thin Red Line" flag, to honor firefighters) and then blue, black, and white (the "Thin Blue Line" flag, to honor police officers). Then the images were all words, moving quickly across the sky, too fast for me to read them all. Some of them were Scriptures, but the only one I remember is Psalm 62. I only saw those words "Psalm 62", I did not see the actual verses, and I don't know that Psalm by heart, but I remember reading and repeating out loud, "Where is God?" And then I saw the phrase "the prayer of Smomesh/Snomesh". I have NO idea what that means or what "Smomesh/Snomesh" is. I tried googling both words and there's nothing I can find.

It reminded me of the word Shemesh in the Bible. It's a place in Israel. There are three places called Shemesh in Israel currently. There is Beit Shemesh, Bet Shemesh, and Beth Shemesh I think. You can google it. It is basically like saying the prayers of Israel. Maybe you're dream meant pray for Israel. Did you read psalm 62 afterwards? The last sentence says each according to their deeds, which I think is referring to Judgment. Maybe the reason it said shemesh is because you asked where is God and God is the God of Israel so that is why you heard that location

I went to go read psalm 62 and it talks about everyone is nothing but a breath, how the low born poor are but a breath and the high born rich are but a lie. It talks about how not to trust in riches. I think it is interesting that you dreamed about that verse for the USA because it seems like we are in the midst of a struggle between the rich and the poor, and it seems like the politicians answers for solving all problems is to trust that throwing more money at everything will fix every problem.

Wow. What a great dream. :) I know the symbolic meaning of a rainbow is that God would no longer flood the earth like He did in the days of Noah, to kill all mankind. So I always think how faithful God is in keeping His promises, and I am so grateful that He is faithful to His children. I don't know anything about Shemesh, but I do know God would have spared Sodom and Gomorrah if there were ten righteous in the city. And even when there was not, he delivered Lot and his family. So I don't know what is going on in America right now, but I know God is faithful to those who trust in His name, and will continue to do so for all time.

Psalm 62

My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken. How long will you assail a man, That you may murder him, all of you, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence? They have counseled only to thrust him down from his high position; They delight in falsehood; They bless with their mouth, But inwardly they curse. Selah. My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken. On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah. Men of low degree are only vanity and men of rank are a lie; In the balances they go up; They are together lighter than breath. Do not trust in oppression And do not vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, do not set your heart upon them. Once God has spoken; Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God; And lovingkindness is Yours, O Lord, For You recompense a man according to his work.

Psalm 62 - NIV Bible - Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation...

Snohomish is near Everett (geography is my hobby). Check out any recent news from that locality? Only a suggestion.

My dreams occasionally turn out to have a bit of "word association football" in them - but are very often meaningless though!

Sometimes a dream is a call to prayer - to you / me and sometimes people around us to join in as well? Any locality we think of could do with a little prayer I'm sure.

"poddie" i have been having dreams and in a span to 1 to 2 weeks they have been coming true. what does this mean for me?
Hello Royal! Sorry for the late response. I've been offline due to work. I would typically categorize such dreams as prophetic dreams. Glimpses of foresight about events that will soon take place. But I can review some of your dreams to provide a deeper interpretation when I have more time. Do you have any dreams that stand out? Feel free to pm me.

Blessings

The rainbow is a representation of God's convenant with mankind. The red represents the blood of Christ and the white His mercy. Blue can symbolize healing and when added to the first two colors they are all those of the American flag. This seems like a reminder to the nation that His truth remains the authority as to offer the opportunity that the people turn to Him. The added thin lines that honor those who have fallen in service to society add to the same reminder. As if to to remind that God's authority is the supreme justice over all bringing peace to even those who must battle to maintain it. Pslams 62 fits the theme of what I am trying to explain quite well. The first verse of Psalms 62 is "Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him." (NIV) and the verses that close the chapter are, "One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: “Power belongs to you, God, and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”; and, “You reward everyone according to what they have done.”" (NIV) Then "the prayer of snomesh/smomesh" possibly the response to your question, "Where is God?" I think Bulgarian maybe "smomesh" is "you can" and in Russian "snomesh" might mean "sleepy". Seems to me like the message could be replying that you can rest in Him because what you seek through your question is given to be received not lost to be found, as it is not God but mankind that becomes lost.
