Jesus began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent from our sins for the Kingdom of God is at hand (Matthew 4:17-23), and the Torah was how his audience knew what sin is, so repenting from our disobedience to it is an integral part of the Gospel of the Kingdom, which Jesus prophesied would be proclaimed to the nations (Matthew 24:12-14). The same goes for how Peter's audience knew what sin is when he told them to repent for the forgiveness of sin in Acts 2:38. In Romans 15:4, Paul said OT writings are for our instruction and in 15:18-19, his Gospel message involved bringing the Gentiles to full obedience in word and in deed, so his Gospel was on the same page in regard to teaching repentance from our sins.
out of curiosity where does Paul preach " repentance" ?

I'm not saying he doesn't , I'm asking you to quote Paul. Thanks !

Paul considered himself the worst of sinners because he persecuted the church of God, when in reality he was not, he said this through humility. 1Cor. 15:9

If you say so, it must be true. How about Paul repenting? Is that not worth writing down? How about Paul being prophesied? Is he not worth mentioning ahead of time?

I kind of see what you're saying here and I'll explain:
Paul considered himself the worst of sinners because when he was Saul, he persecuted the church of Christ.
But because he's now Paul, renamed by God, he's no longer the worst of sinners.

Do I have your meaning correct?

Yah, that name changing thing has no roots either. Thanks for bringing that up.
And (oddly again) no church has ever followed that lead of blinding sinners for three days to convert them, or name changing. Some cults do odd things, but none do those two.

If that's true then God had no business renaming His people. I think you don't understand the deeper things and you need to go to God for wisdom. :yellowheart:

By the way, I wasn't asking you.

Good news everyone....we have all been added to the kingdom of God. We are adopted into the King's family and as such are joint heirs with him. Don't worry about your past sins for the King has paid all your fines. Now you are wedded to Him so be faithful to him and He will be faithful to you.

Ok...over-simplification. Everyone seems to be on target, but be careful you don't leave out personal responsibility. I notice many feel that saying we have to DO anything to be saved somehow takes away the grace of Christ. Don't be deceived. If we act as the world we will not receive a place in the kingdom.

The good news is...we can all be saved in Christ.

Acts 17:30 The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent,

Acts 20:18-21 And when they came to him, he said to them: “You yourselves know how I lived among you the whole time from the first day that I set foot in Asia, 19 serving the Lord with all humility and with tears and with trials that happened to me through the plots of the Jews; 20 how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house, 21 testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 26:19-20 “Therefore, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, 20 but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance.

Romans 2:4 Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?

2 Corinthians 7:9-10 As it is, I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because you were grieved into repenting. For you felt a godly grief, so that you suffered no loss through us. 10 For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.

2 Corinthians 12:21 I fear that when I come again my God may humble me before you, and I may have to mourn over many of those who sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality, and sensuality that they have practiced.

2 Timothy 2:24-25 And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, 25 correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

There is One God
There is One Lord
There is One Faith
There is One Baptism
There is One Jesus
There is only One way to God
There is One Savior

And there is One Gospel

Galatians 1:6

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

So since there is only One God, One Savior, One way to God through Christ, One faith, One baptism and One Gospel- there is only one way to be saved.

How do you know you have the right One ?

hope this helps !!!

"How do you know you have the right One ?"

simple, keep to the 66 Books of the Holy Bible, that ALONE are truly Inspired by God the Holy Spirit, and what it Teaches is THE Right One! Sola Scriptura!

Paul never met Jesus, so he only had the words of others to work with.
That's why he's the least of the apostles. The worst of all sinners.

I think it was because he had persecuted the Church of Christ.

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. - Romans 10:8-10

I think it was because he had persecuted the Church of Christ.
And me and at least one other people understand that
there are no different levels of sin. All sin is the same.

27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’
28 But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

So sex with your neighbor's wife is considered the same as lusting after her.
Once you get this "concept" then you know that persecuting Christians is no different
than persecuting Muslims. Or being dishonest with a neighbor. Or any sin.

I don't believe every sin is the same. The remedy is the same, though.

What do you do when a church teaches a true a Gospel.... But the humility is gone? Here locally....

Jerry Falwell Jr- Supported good Gospel teaching... But a whole lot missing!
Jonathan Falwell- Supports good Gospel teaching and has shown himself faithful in ministry.

Two brothers teaching the same Gospel.... A million miles apart lifestyle wise!

And we know that no one sin is worse than any other. From somebody who knows:

Matthew 15:17-20
Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.”

Well, they are all the same. But let's go with the different levels of hell theory>
Perhaps saying "You Fool! or getting angry is the worst sin because scripture says so here:

Matthew 5:21-22
“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.

I am still a member of the Pentecostal Holiness church. But my goodness.... What a variety! Some of the finest Christians I have met are from this church... And have also met the most worldly! All under the same mental doctrine!

Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: "All nations will be blessed through you."

and I am asking you, what gospel is that?

what does genesis 15 say to us?

Its not in Genesis 15

Genesis 18:18
Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and through him all the nations of the earth will be blessed.

Genesis 22:18
And through your offspring all nations of the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice."

Genesis 26:4
I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and I will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations of the earth will be blessed,
