You just reminded me of the last part of the first act of Tosca . The villain Scarpia , while in church sings about how he was going to force Tosca to “ love him” and he was going to murder her boyfriend . The next beat, he gets on his knees and sings a hymn of praise to God. The first time I watched it on TV it sent chills down my spine. I had to see what happened next . I thoroughly understood then why they used to call soap operas , operas! The whole opera is on YouTube and with my boy, Sherril Milnes as Scarpia

So last night I had a dream of MJ (RIP) and I ask him about his older sister Rebbie. We know she is alive but in my dream he said "she died and didn't make into heaven". I ask what do your dead loved ones look like in hell. He said "they look the same but their voices is different". Then that was the end of the dream. Is this a warning to me? I like listening to his music but now with this dream I had, I'm getting worried

Well,.if you.feel that Michael Jackson music isn't helping you.in walk with God then get rid of it. But you.won't go to hell either way

if the son sets.you free you are free.indeed

But what about the hell part he said?

Scripture will always have the upper hand vs dreams. I had dreams of dead relatives talking to me, I dismiss them as familiar spirits. This is normal I guess, becoming a Christian had make me an heavy spiritual target... Mostly becuase I like to pray against curses and hexes.

Then maybe I should stop listening to music at all now

You're being sarcastic right?

This is very eeire since MJ was a JW. Rumor also say he accepted Jesus Christ as God at the end of his life. He is most likely in heaven.

I never heard this song before but I hope you're right as I love his music and as to the OP,.. I really don't think that you have anything to worry about. :)

No.

But if you believe that Michael Jackson's music is sinful, don't listen to it.

I knew someone who told me listening to any secular music was evil.

I don't believe that any music is, in itself, sinful.
Music is music; a series of notes. It has no values attached to it, it is neither good and holy, nor sinful or wicked. Some chords may be unpleasant to listen to, or jarring, or too loud or remind us of something bad - but that doesn't make them sinful.
Adding words to music changes things - those words can glorify something sinful, turn people away from God, promote a certain lifestyle etc. It may be unhelpful to listen to them; we are told to think about things that are good, right, true, just, excellent and so on, Philippians 4:8. they may pull us down, depress us or have a negative effect, but to just listen to them is not a sin.

Same with all dancing.

Not at all; David danced before God.
God has given some the ability to dance - and some use this gift to worship him and express their love.

ISo I was like what about classical musix, what about ballet? Apparently according to her they are evil and will send you to help

No.
Was she saying that the Hallelujah chorus or any part of "The Messiah", Vivaldi's Gloria, Hayden's Creation or any other religious work is sinful? What about classical music tunes that we now sing as hymns? Several hymns can be sung to "Ode to Joy" or "Austria"; what about "Thine be the glory" or Mozart's "Servant's song"? I've only recently found out that "Lord of the dance" is taken from a piece of classical music.

Music does not "send people to hell" - rejecting people, and therefore not having eternal life; does.

I think she hadn't taken her medication that day!!! She told me studying the Bible is unnecessary because Jesus gives us new Rev elation these days and that only 2 per cent of people will end up in heaven.... Again, this sounds like someone delusional maybe battling a religious spirit.

Interesting point you raise.

I am reminded of Psalm 101.

1I will sing of lovingkindness and justice,
To You, O LORD, I will sing praises.

2I will give heed to the blameless way.
When will You come to me?
I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart.

3I will set no worthless thing before my eyes;
I hate the work of those who fall away;
It shall not fasten its grip on me.

4A perverse heart shall depart from me;
I will know no evil.

Personally I think this includes music...
Couldn't agree more. Sacred vs profane. Hot vs cold.

I think you mean rejecting Jesus not rejecting people!!! I have rejected plenty of people if they have been abusive but pretty sure am not going to hell for it

Exactly it is the lyrical content that makes something sinful or not. How can a Chopin mazurka be sinful! a symphony?

on as voices talking to me claiming to be the holy spirit telling me I wasn't accepted by God yet until I had every I fitted every t crosses, was perfect! They told me God was always mad at me. I also used to have visions of hell and they would lead me into condemnation... so if anyone forwards me a video link to a prophecy vision about Christians in hell I avoid it...would trigger me back into breakdown and I believe for true born again believers who stay saved by abusing in Jesus there is no condemnation

There is no codemnation for those who believe in the finish work on the cross of our lord Jesus Christ. Nevertheless you will be loosing eternal rewards in the judgement seat of Christ for failing to love our God. If you love him follow his commandments

A dream with Michael Jackson? That would be a scary dream....

Firstly.. do you think that MJ made it to heaven? I know we don't know any man's heart... Just cannot see Christ shining through his work.

Secondly.. If I can find the scripture.. I do believe that music is for heaven.. Hell is devoid of music.
