why would listening to music written by a sinner wise you end up in hell? The bible.doesn't say we.can only.listen to things produced by Christians or good people? Copying their sins takes you to hell not listening to music they wrote

The conscience works in mysterious ways.

I would leave the entire MJ thing and get into a Bible study group.

I can see that if a sinful musician is still alive then buying their music would be like supporting them but if they are dead, their royalties don't go to them. A lot of the classical composers I listen to were sinners, many were freemasons or had adulterous affairs but they are dead most of them so I don't see it as supporting sin. Also I try avoid any of their music which is obviously evil in content

Why??? If music isn't sinful in lyrical context, if the lyrics aren't glorifying evil, why not continue listening?? Nowhere in Bible does it say avoid anything written by bad people???

But that is what I was saying. I am saying that if music is sound in content then it doesn't matter if the person who wrote it was evil or good..otherwise you'd only ever listen to read it watch Christian things which is fine if you wish to but I find I would lose the best mmm music there is of I did that

It is all about content of lyrics...idies this music glorify evil? Or not? If it doesn't glorify evil then you are good to go.

I knew someone who told me listening to any secular music was evil. Same with all dancing. So I was like what about classical musix, what about ballet? Apparently according to her they are evil and will send you to help

I think she hadn't taken her medication that day!!! She told me studying the Bible is unnecessary because Jesus gives us new Rev elation these days and that only 2 per cent of people will end up in heaven.... Again, this sounds like someone delusional maybe battling a religious spirit.

I guess some of Michael Jackson's !music !at have had sinful content but what about songs like Black or White?? Good message in that song. God says race and skin colour don't matter

Earth song? Again good message. Conservation is Biblical. We are to be good stewards of God's creation,.not being greedy for gain and destroying habitats due to greed. Yes we are to subdue the earth and have dominion over the animals but not destroy them

It’s that time of the year when Thriller is getting played ....... and as usual I’m gonna dance to it at least once . I don’t worry much about artistic expression being offensive to God unless they specifically deal with religious imagery. I’m not talking about an art piece that criticizes an unfair or abusive practice because in that case the religion deserves the criticism

This is very eeire since MJ was a JW. Rumor also say he accepted Jesus Christ as God at the end of his life. He is most likely in heaven.

That is a good point but I just don't feel personally convicted about it at all.... God has told me about how I need to avoid some rock bands I was into that were secular but when it comes to classical music which is secular He has not convicted me at all..don't forget many of these sinful composers wrote church music too. The homosexual and maybe paedophile Benjamin Britten wrote loads of sacred music. The freemasons Haydn, Purcell, and Mozart wrote some of the most God glorifying and holy spirit inspired church music there is.
