Not this year as I will be having leg surgery shortly before Halloween. However, if the University has its annual Trunk or Treat I will donate candy for it.

I hope and pray your surgery goes well

I'm not even though my community's having it due to all of the extra protocols and the few trick-or-treaters that we get it just isn't worth it.

Nah for years even decades before Covid, Trick or Treat has been pretty much dead. Not enough kids to justify getting the candy etc. I think I stopped buying candy 5 years ago.

Around 1986 is when Halloween started to die. That is when my hometown and other places started having "Safe Halloweens" sponsored by the city in some fair ground, or convention hall...

My daughter was just born and my step daughter is a bit too old for trick or treating. So we have no reason to leave. Call it paranoia if you want but I never open the door for strangers anyway. Thus, no trick or treating this year. Pandemic or no pandemic, it's not happening here.

Everybody else, do whatever you want.

Also heard that parents are doing alternatives to trick-or-treating this year. (And no it isn't Satan's birthday. Satan doesn't even have a birthday because he's never actually been human unlike Jesus. At least to my knowledge.)

Spot on! We have more kids around this year, I'm hopeful that we may get trick or treaters.
