the eight years of the Obama 'Great Recession'

Man, can't you give this lie a rest? The recession happened before Obama was elected. We all know this. 'The Trump recovery' was the extension of the Obama recovery.

Not perfect but better than now. Back then people had a future to look forward to.

As long as they were white, male and above a certain wealth threshold.

I disagree. Plenty of people made a good living regardless of sex or color. They worked for it just like the rest of us.

They were all helped during the Trump recovery. That's something that almost no one could say during the eight years of the Obama 'Great Recession' and that administration's commitment to groveling before every dictator in the world and paying billions to some of them in the vain hope of winning their friendship.
Trump certainly continued the steep decline in unemployment which began during Obama's first term--which is to his credit.

It means going back to the American dream. God, family, employment and that good Ole white picket fence. A time when people said good morning and good day. A time when Americans were united.

All that wasn't so long ago.
A time of Jim Crow.........it hawks back to the post war boom of the late 40s and fifties.

I know, I still can't work out why Obama used his time machine and wrecked the economy in 2008.....
Oh wait a minute he did not. It is the republican govt that plunged the USA into the great recession.

Please stop bearing false witness in service to Trump.

What about people who were unable then to live that dream? Why should they want to go back?
For trump supporters, those people don't count.

They're not "real" Americans so they don't deserve the "American dream".

And here we were thinking it was trump that was exchanging love letters with Kim Jong-Un.

I've see a few statements on threads about MAGA and people challenging the phrase.

I would like to hear what MAGA means to you. Not what you think MAGA means to others. But what does MAGA mean to you personally.

I don't want this thread to turn into an argument, or a debate, but a view. This way we can see what MAGA really means to each other. It may or may not be enlightening, but I guess we will see. So please post what MAGA means to you personally. Please don't challenge other people's posts. Ready, set, go!

The slogan MAGA means the same to Trump as it did to Reagan, Trump took the slogan from Reagan. Trump is not the originator.

It means giving the power to the people by reducing regulations for a strong economy, to live the American dream for all. For all that will work for it!

That is not the agenda of the Dems.

So much ado from the critics because the president tried to 'sweet talk' Kim. That's all he did. And he hoped that it would lead to North Korea's being willing to lower the threat of war.

Now compare that with Obama straightaway giving the Mullahs in Iran a 150 billion dollar bribe to please slow down your development of an nuclear bomb. Or Obama's sell-out to Cuba which never even got Cuba to so much as pretend that changes would follow.

The comparison is no comparison at all.

For those who don't know what he's talking about and care about the truth, here's the full story.

Obama Didn't Give Iran '150 Billion in Cash' - FactCheck.org

It's also worth noting that, under Trump, Iran has increased its enriched uranium stockpile ten-fold. They're a good deal closer to developing nuclear weapons than ever before.

And here's the truth. No, the USA didn't give 150 billion to Iran out of our treasury, but we made 150 billion dollars available to Iran that it wouldn't otherwise have, on the condition that it merely promise to slow, not stop, its work towards a nuclear bomb.

Without nit-picking the details of that ridiculous move on the part of the Obama administration, go ahead dear reader and show us how that windfall for the world's #1 terror state and propaganda disaster for America was such a terrific thing for world peace or for the USA in particular.

The truth is that Obama, as his time in office was ending, badly wanted something that looked like an accomplishment so to stoke his reputation for posterity. This was not it!

This is, of course, incorrect, the Iran nuclear deal negotiations were with the International Atomic Energy Association, the P5+1, and the European Union and led by the Italian diplomat Federica Mogherini.

Further the money you are referring to was Iran's money all along. It was frozen Iranian assets in banks all around the world. It wasn't US money that was being used for a "bribe". Unfreezing Iranian assests was one of the points negotiated by Atomic Energy Association, the P5+1, the European Union, and Iran, leading to the accord.

Of course, none of these facts matters to you since it suits you to blame Obama for it.

Which is not the same thing as 'straightaway giving' them the money, as you claimed. It was their money in the first place.

Like, if you get your repoed car back because you made the proper payments, you wouldn't say the repo man 'gave you a car', now would you?

Also, it probably wasn't even that much.

on the condition that it merely promise to slow, not stop, its work towards a nuclear bomb.
Since Iran's rapidly increased their production under Trump, it's not like he's done any better.

The fact check needs a fact check. Trump never said Obama gave Iran 150B in cash.

He said Obama sent 1.5B in cash in a cargo plane to Iran.
