The Lord is to be praised.

With Nel's seemingly ever-changing rules, I was not anywhere near 100% certain on how to address and handle a rather unique situation last night in the lab, even after getting the advice of another, more senior tech. I thought it wholly, imminently possible we would be in trouble when we both came back into work tonight, but sure enough, after praying to the Lord to take away my anxiety and spare us from any kind of trouble, He did so. No one got onto us, namely Nel, for anything at all.

Seriously, thanks be to God, who often spares those who cry out to Him to be delivered from the things they personally fear, and even if He chooses to allow the troubles to come anyway, for whatever purpose in the infinite wisdom we must trust that He has, He will still be with them all the while.

Good grief! There was a program called Heat Seekers. Two chefs traveled around the country doing spicy challenges. Their suffering was hilarious. But I always wondered about the consequences. :p

Sometimes it's just mild discomfort, whilst other times it can be a real life nightmare - it helps if you're a puker then, because the nightmare will be over pretty quickly. Otherwise, you're about to feel the heat of a neutron star slide down every kink, crevice and valley of your intestines for hours.

Not all chillies are equal - even if they're two chillies from the same species. A Reaper might be 1.5M SHU, or it might be nearly 3M - you really won't know.

Take it from me, don't play with fire. Cook with superhot chillies and respect them, because if you take them on they WILL get the better of you.

I cook with chilies but I like a balance of flavor and spice. When you're young you enjoy scorching hot and may put up with the consequences. But age brings common sense and a reality check. Just say no.

SK,

I'm glad the Lord answered your prayer and turned Nel's mind away from strife. I look forward to the day when your work environment is peaceful and drama free. :)

It did for you. To develop common sense and awareness it has to at least be underpinned with sound character. I actually know people who are progressively regressive - to the point that age just seems to bring on even MORE foolhardy behaviours .

Right, that's enough sociology for one evening. I'm going to go for a haircut in a few hours.

Anthony,

Perhaps the Lord has something else in mind. It was important to reach out nonetheless. It demonstrates your willingness to consider other options. Flexibility is important as is adaptability and you've shown both. :)

Tell me about your project. What's the stumbling block? And what do you hope to achieve? When I pray I'll address the problem but I don't want to forget the harvest you're seeking. I ask for both and then some.

What is the book about? There are different to approach your project. ;) Have you ever worked with video? Do you know how to edit the clips and audio?

Yours in His Service,

~Bella
The opportunity did give me a different perspective as well, and helped me to re-examine things. I was too constricted and burdened before, but now feel like there's more freedom and options available.

I'm aiming to release a new public build players can try out before the year is over. Although, I keep getting held up on technical aspects; due to expectations of the community, I can't really abandon them. I'm more of an artist than a scripter, so I'm often working outside of my element. I could really use help from someone else who would be dedicated, and possibly more programming-orientated. There's been a lot of closed doors regarding that in the past, and those who did want to help out never lasted. But this would be a major boost in morale.

I had a few ideas for books I wanted to write, but the first one I began outlining was about a specific tradition of Passover, and some deeper symbolism regarding it (such as how it foreshadows Jesus and the Christian walk). I began seeing the feast itself in a new way, which was really fascinating. The Jewish culture as a whole is filled with incredible symbolism and typologies - I love it. ^_^

Video might be an option, and I do have experience with editing in the past. You mean like an audio book?

I'm glad you're feeling better and lighter. Our creative juices flow much easier in that environment. The key is knowing your provision is a done. Whether it arrives through the guise you're expecting or another you didn't imagine. God is your portion.

You've discovered your role through the experience and can add the missing components. Don't allow the departures to discourage you. I've been in your shoes. I thought I'd receive assistance from obvious sources but it didn't happen. It was painful. I focused on what I could accomplish and narrowed my scope. The other stuff was God's domain. Unless He gifted me with the skills to perform it I trusted He'd bring the missing parts. I put my energy on the anointed work. He'll take care of the rest.

It wasn't an audio book. I'm certain your musical experience would come in handy for a project along those lines. I wasn't certain if you've worked with video and were comfortable in that medium. Could you see yourself on television or something along those lines? :)

I kind of doubt it's all that. The only one on a major scale was a 'memory' when I had travelled to London and fell in love with a German girl who was also visiting. It never happened, but it was a nice thought. Most of the time they surround recent situations or circumstances, but with subtly-different details that embed in my consciousness and are plausible enough for me to I accept as fact. Two examples:

A couple weeks ago, I had one doughnut left in a box which I put in the cupboard. It was a couple days old, so I made a note to eat it the next morning. I did, but was a little surprised there were actually two. I had been tired when I put them away, so miscounting could have happened. Several days later, I opened the cupboard and found the doughnut box containing a single stale doughnut.

Last winter, I scoured a stack of books looking for a particular comment I had remembered reading. After several days of searching, I was able to piece together the reality that I had dreamed the whole thing and the extract I had remembered verbatim had been an amalgam my subconscious had created from bits from a couple different books, but rewritten as a new text.

Now, I could very well be insane... But in my warped mind, the dots connect. If your character was in the mist of an intense fever dream the German Girl and the doughnut could be the same thing.

I'm not sure if I shared this. :)

The devotional journal is really neat for someone looking for daily inspiration and writing prompts to reinforce God's presence. The book is $0.99 on Amazon.

I never considered covering all of their holidays. I chose to focus on Passover and that specific tradition as it seemed easier to start with. But there's a lot I want to write about, even in typing this reply I was struck with inspiration. But I'll see where God leads.

I certainly can't imagine myself on television, lol. I'm highly introverted. I do enjoy making videos however, and used to make gaming videos to entertain. For awhile I've wanted to tell stories through gaming.

But you are drawn to the opposite. ;)

Look at Chip and JoAnna Gaines. That's your hint.

Hot sauce or jalapenos?

Jalapenos. Specifically.

True. I assumed I'd need to hire garment workers and production staff. But everything is outsourced. You provide the design and fabric if necessary and they do it all. There are companies in the States that do the same. Most brands go overseas. I can't do that. I'm exploring sustainable options in the US and communities providing textiles and artisan services. It's exciting. I want to support our people. :)

That is pretty noble. You're not just helping American, but you're not always taking advantage of oppressed poor people in 3rd would countries who have to deal with labor laws that are a joke.

I see the same in psychology articles. I skim and that's a chore at times. *lol

Lol, I should be writing an article about not being able to smell. I got stories.. lol.

That's my fault. I don't usually cook with them and I forgot what they were. A lot has changed since Amazon bought them.

Amazon is like the Walmart of the internet? They cheapify everything? Lol.

I put everything on the shelf. I'm glad I didn't toss it. It will do for the moment until he puts the others together. I still have to do the freezer, pantry, and a cabinet and drawer in the kitchen. I'm moving everything out of there once the room is set up.

I wish you luck. I think being surrounded by all those ingredients would drive me crazy, lol.

I've come to realise that I LOVE spiders; their presence just seems to have a calming effect on me. I feel 'in the moment' whenever I watch them - just like I did with cows when I managed that dairy herd for all of those years.

I don't understand why people are afraid of them. They don't want to be anywhere near you - and when they are it's by accident.

Oh, that hyper-realistic, true to life film? (LOL)

I've actually been watching a channel on YouTube called Exotics Lair. He's a great resource to reference if you're ever planning to buy a tarantula.

I'm sorry for the short reply. Someone I've known a long time may be unwell or have passed away. I was distracted earlier.

I think the first book would be a great starting point. I can see you moving forward and covering other holidays. I'm sure the Lord will lay other topics on your heart. :)

I certainly can't imagine myself on television, lol. I'm highly introverted. I do enjoy making videos however, and used to make gaming videos to entertain. For awhile I've wanted to tell stories through gaming.

Your interest in DIY and architecture would open the door. You wouldn't be behind the scenes. The Lord showed me a few weeks ago. It doesn't exist in the form I saw. I'm not even doing it. But I will. *lol

It's very lucrative. Keep pressing ahead in those areas. There's a harvest coming.

It isn't noble. You'd have to be heartless to exploit at the level that's taking place. I can't do it. My want for profits won't allow me to mistreat anyone.

Lol, I should be writing an article about not being able to smell. I got stories.. lol.

Catchy articles sans the attitude. *lol
