Dr. Fauci, the supposed expert in infectious diseases, could have told people to use cloth masks or scarves or bandanas. Isn't that what the general public is using now anyway? Most people are not using N95, so there was no reasons to "lie" to people.

But saying that you were lying for a greater good is a better face saving option than admitting that in all your years of infectious disease experience, you didn't know that cloth masks, scarves and bandanas, which are readily available to the general population, could be used instead of the specialized masks designed for the medical personel.

1) Calling Trump racist at every opportunity everyday of the year does not make him any more racist nor does it proves that he is any more racist than Biden who put in place legislations that primarily affected the African American population.

2) Calling Trump Racist at every opportunity every day of the year only serves to promote hatred, fear and division in the country, it is true fear-mongering. As a black person, I had to sit back and ask myself, what was it that this racist Trump did to negatively affect my black life on a personal level these past 4 years, and i couldn't find anything.

I saw those videos of "peaceful" BLM protesters you are speaking of. People who refused to disperse, people who were showing the fingers and other obscene gestures at the police instead of dispersing, taking a knee instead of moving on. Okay so they were not throwing molotov cocktails, but they were hardly the crowd of peaceful protesters we have seen through historical footage of MLK marches.

Scarves and bandanas were not available? They are among the accepted face masks and anyone could have started covering their faces from day one with makeshift material if Dr. Fauci had stated that covering the face would help slow or prevent the virus.

Coepernicus was reluctant to publish his findings but received great encouragement and support from scientific clergy. When you actually look at the issue you'll find that it was not so much religion vs science as a stubborn pope vs a stubborn priest. Both were vainglorious. Galileo's findings were not rejected at first because of any religious matter but because his math was just wrong. His findings presented the planets moving in circular orbits when ten years prior Kepler had proven they moved in eliptical orbits.

I perfectly understand why you would think like that. Trump's personality and style do not do him any favor in the popularity department when it comes to minorities.
