First off I join with others to thank you for your witty contributions - a real testimony of you beautiful heart, given the daily cross you bare.

Some great advice already given - one lesson I have learned is that when prayer falters because pain cripples, or for whatever reason - ask Him to raise up intercessors to pray for you...

We are in a body - our walk was never meant to be alone.

Did you use weights at school when you were younger? When you were in school did you ever play any sports ? What sports did you try out ? Did you have any favorite subjects in school? When did you graduate?

Your humor is wonderful, and it is well enjoyed by many people on the forums. God would desire you to do that, because he probably gets a laugh out of us from time to time.

What do you mean by dying inside?

When you mention work, are you having sometimes tough days, were you just try to seem like everything is okay, but on the inside suffering from the desire to be with Christ?

You do not have to answer any of my questions, if you choose not to. You are so welcome, and it really does suck that our bodies have to corrupt until the point, we take our last breath and we give it back to God.

One day, we are going to receive a new spiritual body - in my belief - that God will give to us according to his pleasure when we leave this world.

Thank you so much for openly talking more about yourself, Lost4words, and God bless you too dear friend. Glad we could talk a little more.

God bless all the people who have also responded!

Yes, i used weights at school age. Me and my brother and mates. We didnt care too much about form.

I didnt play sport in school though and i wasnt very academically minded either in those days. I left school when i was 16. Didnt bother with education after that, unfortunately.

By dying inside, i mean suffering with depression or anxiety and being down and sad about life. Where i am in life. The misery.

Many times i have asked God to take me. I think many people do this when they are suffering in some way or another. Its just wanting an escape from the suffering. Be it physical or mental.

Yes, i agree. God bless all of the wonderful people in this thread and these fine forums. Its my go to place without a doubt.

Failing 9th grade twice, ended up leaving school at the age of 16. The principle told me that I would reach the age of 21 by the time it came to graduate. So decided to leave, it was a sad day with some crying involved. Can not remember the year, though 4 years later, decided to get my Ged.

My two favorite subjects in school were English, and the study of the planets.

Went to college twice but disliked school, though the second time going had a religion class that I would show up a few times that opened doors for the Lord to come around eventually, (can not remember the age, probably 21)

Did not chase after anything much for education either, other than when turning 26, seeking after the Lord became more apparent because of the void that the world had left me with.

Are you brothers still doing well, and your family?

My friend, let me be the first to tell you, that even at the age you are 56, sometimes here at the age of almost 30 years old sometimes thoughts creep into my head about just desiring to go back on home to be with God too.

Life is tough sometimes, and especially if you are finding it harder to find any joy out of it, and for me it is understandable sometimes how we get down really low.

Your actions about going to God is our safest bet, because he cares about us deeply, and nothing will be able to separate us from his love thankfully. I share with you in this burden my friend to remind you that we are all human and it is a normal process.

Ups and downs, nothing new under the sun. Though we should be allowed to express these transgressions and things that bring us down, and the things that have brought us up in life.

Though not knowing them it is always a meaningful thing to remind others how important they are in life, also to remind them we all need support and encouragement in this tough life, along with praying for each other. We entertain strangers without even knowing through our abilities of kindness by the spirit of Christ with-in us, even if we are only in their life for a mere moment.

That mere moment can always possibly leave an impression on them for a lifetime.

Thank you once more for your kind, caring words. Means a lot to me.

As for brothers, my twin brother died 34 years ago, tragically and my two older brothers dont bother with me.

I have lors of brothers and sisters on here! Only thing is, they are human! o_O

God bless you my friend

Thanks.

Psalms, Proverbs and Christ's words have helped me in the past when someone has done me a wrong. I have found the audio Bible has been very helpful at times.

Peace be with all those in the body of Christ

Same here too, I love psalms. So beautiful you can't read them without feeling the love of God so strong you just cry for joy

How many of you suffer pains in life and find it hard to pray or read scripture because of that?

For me, i suffer with anxiety, depression, bulging discs and burning pain on upper rear legs which means i cant really sit much. I have to lie down when home from work.

Pain fills my mind lots of the time during the day because of my bad lower back and the burning i get too. Plus having anxiety moments is not nice. I cringe when i see people sitting as that hurts and i get envious of them.

I do have a set routine of prayers i say. But, working through the pain and trying to concentrate can be difficult as 'pain' is always at the forefront of my thoughts. I dont read scripture much either. I just cant seem to 'get into it'.

I would love to sit at a desk and read the Bible or a spiritual book but, its very uncomfortable for me.

How do you cope?

On the days when I cannot do what I would like to do, or what I think I should be doing?
:hibiscus:I pray to God and ask for the grace to patiently endure ...

i know very well what you mean brother. Pain/suffering can make it impossible to read. But music is the medium i use Scriptural music is best in my opinion.

Good Scriptural songs can be found search for authors like Sherri Youngward, who sings mainly encouraging pieces out of Scripture to us. Or The Sons of Korah, an Australian band, who sing the Psalms to us, straight out of scripture. Or you can try Scripture Songs, they have many good songs all K.J.V songs i think.

i love Scriptural songs they have helped me enormously fighting my depression by bringing God's word to life in my living room. When i'm suffering i always turn them on. An excellent way to memorise the Scripture.

For example if you are anxious try this song to aid you.

When depressed enjoy the eternal words of this psalm.

Blessings.
