If the republicans pull the ultimate hypocrisy but lose in the election, I hope the democrats stack the court and gerrymander the maps to where the house will be blue for the next 100 years. Play with fire and get burned.

And they won't be able to do a thing because even their farts will be ruled unconstitutional.

Can't be ruled unconstitutional if you control the court. It has been done before. They can stack the court.

It can if the republican controlled supreme court rules it. Any additional judges would have to revise themselves on the decision due to blatant conflict of interest.

It is almost like Christians here don't believe God is in control of this. God establishes the authorities and Christians must obey them according to Romans 13. There is even consequences to not obeying them. So why worry about this if God has it handled?

Why should precedent restrain the court?

"Precendent" is just a rationalization to be deployed selectively in those instances when it reinforces your position.

Indeed. You can get legal advice to support any position, all it takes is to get it Infront if the supreme court.

I have family members here praising god that she died in time to be replaced. I think you underestimate the callousness of some Republicans...

Having ultra-conservative relatives myself, I don't doubt that one bit.

Is it a christian attitude to celebrate and rejoice in the death of someone or should christians mourn every loss?

Is it a sign of christian piety to hope for someone burning eternally in hell of should every christian be saddened for the missed soul?

It's against the forum rules to question the religion of self-professed christians who rejoice over RGBs death and the supposed repealing of roe vs wade that would follow.

Sorry but where was the urgency 2016? Sorry but if a president is not allowed to have his nomination debated 9 months before an election as the republicans insisted was the case, why is it different this time?

The difference is obviously the Senate only wants to confirm a Republican president's nominee. In 2016 it was gambling on the possibility an elephant would replace Barack Obama at the White House. The others, Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor, Obama nominated were confirmed when Democrats were in control of the Senate.

1) Also about non forum members, like the good christians in the comment section of WND.com or infowars?
2) I didn't question the christianity of these people, I asked if it is a christian attitude.

I think it's only public figures and forum members, though I'd be carefull with any alegations in that regard.

It is an attitude that is exibited by some christians.

For those Trump supporters that believe Trump is unquestionably going to win the election, this should also be a wakeup call. If Republicans thought Biden's lead, this year, is only like Hillary's in 2016, and that it will evaporate on election date, you know now that Republican leadership (including Trump himself) do not believe that -- or else they would not be in such a hurry to get a Trump nominee on the court. In fact, Republicans are also worried if they'll retain control of the Senate.

If God chose our leaders, no nation would be a democracy. Only royalty is in the Bible. He gave us all the free will to choose a totally unqualified man who only cares about being a dictator, not serving the people who elected him.

I also belong to a political message board. The people who think Donald Trump has no chance of losing in November naturally also think Republicans will retain control of the Senate. Some of these people are not even Republicans; they just hate Democrats with a passion and vote against them.

Working with the ACLU has absolutely nothing to do with religion[.]
Are you saying that atheism is a religion? I agree that it is, but atheists have protested vehemently against that claim, so I'm interested to know if you really meant what you just implied.

The ACLU has waged war for years against public expression of faith in God. It's founder, Roger Baldwin, said _"Communism is the goal,"_ and communism is very atheistic.

But to your point, in questioning if the late justice has ever stated she's an atheist, I mentioned her work with ACLU as a reason to believe she would say she is.
