Ohh I see! Yea I have actually heard a lot of people struggle with the parables. How have you been trying to understand them so far?
I try on my own to understand but not very successful. I was studying John and it has a lot most of which I did not understand. As to the contradictions if you go to almost any thread most seem to have a different idea of the meaning of the word. It is very confusing. Of course they say read the word but I can understand by reading, where the contradictions come in. So many different meanings can come out of one scripture. Check out my thread on the holy spirit, so many versions from people who believe differently.

When you see a word a chapter and a key verse pertaining to what you are looking for, you go line by line write them down, and once you have gone through, see if there anything else is missing, and then you see your result and then you have your keyword (answer) to what is your looking for! Thank you for your suggestions. I am sure it took a lot of your time and I appreciate it.
It would be nice if there was a parable book that explained the meaning of all the parables in the bible.:)

I am working on a project and I was wondering what questions you might have from the Bible or anything that seems not to be clear? I am looking forward to reading your responses!

Hi, JanelleW! Welcome to the forums! I am currently looking into what the Bible says about itself, because I am trying to determine whether there is a good Biblical foundation for the doctrine of inerrancy. So far, it seems that there is a good Biblical case for it. Do you know of anything the Bible says about itself that would mitigate the case for inerrancy?

Good luck on your project!

My large standing question at this point is why we still sin after being "born again." I just do not understand this. Paul talks about remaining in sin in Romans 7 and I sure know I sin all the time. The question is what purpose does God have for us sinning while under grace?

Why didn't Christ just say it out as it was, since He knew these people, wouldn't get what He meant?

John 2:19-22
New International Version

19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”

20 They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?” 21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body. 22 After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken

John 2
18 Some Jews said to Jesus, “Show us a miracle as a sign from God. Prove that you have the right to do these things.”

19 Jesus answered, “Destroy this temple and I will build it again in three days.”

20 They answered, “People worked 46 years to build this Temple! Do you really believe you can build it again in three days?”

21 But the temple Jesus meant was his own body. 22 After he was raised from death, his followers remembered that he had said this. So they believed the Scriptures, and they believed the words Jesus said.

Mark 14
55 The leading priests and the whole high council tried to find something that Jesus had done wrong so they could kill him. But the council could find no proof that would allow them to kill Jesus. 56 Many people came and told lies against Jesus, but they all said different things. None of them agreed.

57 Then some others stood up and told more lies against Jesus. They said, 58 “We heard this man say, ‘I will destroy this Temple built by human hands. And three days later, I will build another Temple not made by human hands.’” 59 But also what these people said did not agree.

60 Then the high priest stood up before everyone and said to Jesus, “These people said things against you. Do you have something to say about their charges? Are they telling the truth?” 61 But Jesus said nothing to answer him.

The high priest asked Jesus another question: “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the blessed God?”

62 Jesus answered, “Yes, I am the Son of God. And in the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right side of God All-Powerful. And you will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven.”

63 When the high priest heard this, he tore his clothes in anger. He said, “We don’t need any more witnesses! 64 You all heard these insults to God. What do you think?”

Matthew 26
59 The leading priests and the high council tried to find something against Jesus so that they could kill him. They tried to find people to lie and say that Jesus had done wrong. 60 Many people came and told lies about him. But the council could find no real reason to kill him. Then two people came 61 and said, “This man[e] said, ‘I can destroy the Temple of God and build it again in three days.’”

62 Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, “Don’t you have anything to say about these charges against you? Are they telling the truth?” 63 But Jesus said nothing.

Again the high priest said to Jesus, “You are now under oath. I command you by the power of the living God to tell us the truth. Tell us, are you the Messiah, the Son of God?”

64 Jesus answered, “Yes, that’s right. But I tell you, in the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right side of God. And you will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven.”

65 When the high priest heard this, he tore his clothes in anger. He said, “This man has said things that insult God! We don’t need any more witnesses. You all heard his insulting words. 66 What do you think?”

The Jewish leaders answered, “He is guilty, and he must die.”

67 Then some there spit in Jesus’ face, and they hit him with their fists. Others slapped him. 68 They said, “Show us that you are a prophet,[f] Messiah! Tell us who hit you!”

I think the people understood that he was talking about his Body. Because when on trial people came there tell he opposite as a lie, knowing they were telling a lie. There is a statement that he spoke in parables, that others did not understand. So, that when he rose again people would make connections to what he said.
