No Kenny. Trump has agreed because he knows it won't happen.

I have no idea of Biden's, or Trump's, capabilities but sitting or standing for 4 hours of continuous debate would tax most people physically and mentally.

No, Barber, you were clear the first time, and I think my assessment of what you were saying is right on target. ;)

I've heard Ezra's stuff, it's decent, but does he have the same audience size? When you look at just one large source of podcast access, Stitcher, Rogan's ranked #1, Ezra is at #40.

If we're being honest, it's doubtful we'll hear any official debates via a Podcast, but if they were going to break the mold, I would think they'd have to go with someone with a massive audience. Neither candidate is going to agree to participate on one that only gets 40k downloads per month. However, you start talking 190 million downloads per month like what Rogan has, or like some of the ones NPR sponsors that are up in the 50 million range per month...then they may be willing to roll the dice on a new medium for debates.

Yeah, my comments were merely about the quality of the conversations and the range of guests, not the audience size. Limbaugh's audience is almost twice the size of Rogan's and Hannity's is about the same, and those two guys couldn't put together an intelligent conversation if their lives depended on it.

I just find Klein to be more intelligent, more thoughtful, and more inquisitive than a lot of the other, more popular hosts.

Also, the other element in addition to being able to have a conversation is also being able to be assertive enough to actually moderate.

Personally, one of the more interesting podcasts I like is Sam Harris', with a close 2nd being Dave Rubin, but I don't think either of them has the ability to moderate all that well, as Harris would be too passive, let them both steamroll, and then point out the issues on the following week's podcast, and Rubin would be likely be interrupting to tell them why they're both wrong. (which is the same reason why Shapiro would be a lousy moderator)

Effective moderating (as a concept - something I can't recall ever seeing IRL) also requires a pretty solid understanding of the issues, which is why journalists tend to do a better job of it than other pundits.

It's his kicks you have to watch out for lol...

I don't understand the guys who do MMA as a hobby. BJJ is fun, but why would I want to get punched in the face?

idk man... I would 100% rather watch Rogan do BJJ with a tie-wearing Bas Rutten.

I listen to Ezra Klein's show pretty regularly and IMO, it smokes Rogan's by a wide margin. Every time I try to listen to Rogan, it sounds dim-witted and juvenile compared to what I'm used to. Klein is openly liberal, but has plenty of conservative guests (e.g. David Brooks, Yuval Levin, George Will, JD Vance) with whom he has very interesting conversations - in fact, those episodes are some of my favorites. While he hosts plenty of conservatives, he doesn't have guests who are illiberal, or professionally disingenuous or manipulative, so folks like Milo and Alex Jones would never make the cut.
When I hear super smart guests on Rogan, it always seems like theyre deliberately dumbing down just a bit.

Luckily a debate between Biden and Trump wouldn't involve any super smart guests...
