Just curious...what translation are you using? 1 John 5:8 Read some of these.

I use the KJV, it's what I've used and learned with all my life.

There are some other good translations.

You beat me to it, but understand that while in the original texts, or at least most of them, this verse is not included as part of the text in many modern translations. I hold it to be truth and very clear in that regard. The trinity is born out in so many verses of scripture beginning in Genesis through to the end. These three are one.

That is a long standing debate that has been raging for centuries.

I choose to believe it because it agrees and compliments other scripture on the subject.

I agree with you...thee is a trinity.

The KJV says this...And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

I believe the Spirit is the Father, the water is the Holy Spirit and the blood is Jesus.

In John 3:5 we read...Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Here I believe the water is the Holy Spirit and the Spirit is the Father. Some say the water is baptism, but I disagree.
