Hi,

I'm trying to recall a verse from the gospels of Jesus telling His disciples something like "don't worry about your needs like food, etc... because God will take care of it". Can someone tell me the verses of the gospels where Jesus says this please?

Thank you for any help!

Be careful trying to make Matt 6 say more than it is saying:

Matt 6:31 Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

What would keep you personally from asking while on the road: “Where are we going to eat” (when you have money and plenty of fast-food places to stop at)?

Does a closet full of clothes keep the person from asking: “What am I going to wear?” or even worse “I have nothing to wear?”

Matt 6 is talking about being “anxious” about physical things and God removing that anxiety about “stuff”, which does not come from having lots of “stuff” and in fact having lots of stuff increases our anxiety about stuff. If you concentrate of the kingdom you can continue to be happy while starving to death for a Kingdom Cause. Was Christ anxious about what He was wearing while on the cross?
