The light bulb was invented by candle light.

On the way to getting something better you sometimes have to make do with means that aren’t the best. By campaigning and getting himself in the White House, he is burning a little fuel now so that he can be in the position to work to clean up the environment later. It’s kind of like the “you have to spend money to make money” concept.
Do you ever use fuels for anything?

lets see russia, check, australia, check, us check, and probably far more. So yeah, at this point it's on fire. But keep pretending it doesn't exist, and tell us how fixing climate change will be costly.
And how, pray, does "climate change" cause all these fires?
By the way, I never said a thing about how fixing climate change would be costly.

it's usually the next rhetoric from you guys...And gee these fires have been caused by unusually dry weather.....what possibly could cause such dry weather.

Dry weather is not unusual.

I asked if you used them. Do you have a car? If so, does it run on fuel or electricity?

Ahhh yes the, "Do you use fossil fuels." actually I don't :> My electricity is hydroelectirc, and I don't drive, and walk when I can, or use the bus when I have too. Only so much I can do as one person vs the goverment that can put up regulations and put money into alternative energy instead of giving it to one of the most profitable industries.

you missed the unusually dry weather again there good sir. This isn't just, "dry weather." it's some of the hottest and dryiest the US has seen, this has been one of the worst years for hot weather most of the worst hot weather years have been in the last ten years. But keep denying, I guess that whole good stewards of the earth was just a suggestion.

Thanks for answering the question. That's what I wanted to know. You actually care about "climate change", unlike Joe Biden and the other liberal elites in power.

I'm not happy about the left's actual attempts to fix climate change, they are better then the right, but thats already a low bar.

Still, I fail to see how this is because of global warming or whatever. Has dry weather caused the fires? No. It has contributed, but it did not start the fires. That is mostly humans. It certainly doesn't help that the forests haven't been touched and cleaned up at all.

then you don't get how this works, forest management is only part of it, if you didn't have the US getting hotter every year you wouldn't have such sever dry spells and as long. Part of what the problem with California a few years ago during the drought was that climate change was creating esentially a barrier that was preventing cooler weather and rain from reaching California due to weather and temperature changes and differences.

That's because they don't care. To be honest, I would have no problem getting rid of cars, and factories polluting the air, and making the things that end up as trash in the ocean. I'd love to scale some technology back a couple hundred years. Life was harder back then, but so much simpler at the same time. I wish we could have that.

But this could just be a normal cycle. We haven't been around for hundreds of years to see what the climate has done, or what cycles it goes through.
What if next year, the west got the most rain they've had in years. Would that be climate change, or global warming?

2009 CSIRO (Australian government) report on the interactions between climate change and fire risks:

https://www.environment.gov.au/syst...es/20100630-climate-fire-biodiversity-pdf.pdf

Nature article on the links between climate change and the likelihood of extreme/catastrophic fire events during the 2019/2020 Australian fire season:

Climate change made Australia’s devastating fire season 30% more likely

Examination of the role climate change played in contributing to the distribution, frequency and intensity of fires in Australia during 2018:

https://www.bnhcrc.com.au/sites/def...2018_fire_weather_in_queensland_australia.pdf

Also, Australia practices proactive forestry management, including winter burn offs. The idea of "cleaning" forests is, frankly, [edited to potentially remove offense].

All I said was not cleaning it doesn't help. I didn't say it was the sole reason.

This has got to stop. We are far beyond Republican/Democrat Partisanship. He is the complete antithesis of a common sense leader.

Of course, the future of higher life on this planet should not be a political issue.
