I don't need horoscopes. Christ supplies me with everything I need. He knows my future, both in this world and in the world to come. All things work together for the good for those who love Him.

What is your view, belives in reading a horoscope?

Yearly horoscope for 2020 for the Libra - Interesting Earth

My one is pretty spot on so far... My career took off a few weeks ago, Enjoying a bliss moment and my relationship also got better lately.

Do you read stuff like this?
No. It is occult and forbidden by God. Adam's sin was to seek knowledge apart from God. The occult offers the same temptation and produces the same result - spiritual death.

It seems a horoscope can give attention mainly or only to yourself and how things go for you. So, it can help nurture selfish interest.

And Jesus says,

"He who loves his life will lose it," in John 12:25.

So, we first need to be concerned with what God wants, and what He does with us will fit with producing His good for any and all people, since He is all-loving . . . therefore always caring for us in keeping with His all-loving purpose.

Not really. As a Christian horoscopes can take one down a wrong pathway. Our prayer to God each day should be to seek his direction and counsel. Let's take this as an example. A horoscope says don't make any major decisions today and one hears the gospel and is encouraged to receive the Lord. Oh but my scope said don't make any major decisions today but God says NOW is the day of salvation. Ah think we better trash the scope and make God the Lord and King over what we do.

No, it's occultic.
Isaiah 47:13-14
"You are wearied with your many counsels; Let now the astrologers, Those who prophesy by the stars, Those who predict by the new moons, Stand up and save you from what will come upon you. "Behold, they have become like stubble, Fire burns them; They cannot deliver themselves from the power of the flame; There will be no coal to warm by Nor a fire to sit before!

Leviticus 19:26
'You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor practice divination or soothsaying.

In my personal experience, people seem to associate "horoscopes" with being modern and "independent"

However, if your fate is truly dictated by the Moon, and by Venus, and by Mercury, and by the Sun, and Jupiter & Saturn and Alpha Centauri & Sirius & Vega and heavenly powers far and wide as telescopes can peer across the Cosmos to the limits of the known and even unknown Universe...

by what stretch of whose imagination is that "independent" ?

Wouldn't actual "independence" sound more like (less unlike) "no fate but what we make" ?

Horoscopes tend to rely on an atheistic view. Yet they are so complicated, when you actually look at the indepth charts they make(the ones that are supposed to be individually tailored, based on birthdate, geography of birthplace, and time of birth) you start to ask "How is the position of the stars supposed to affect my life? Who is influencing my life in this mqnner? For what purpose?" It denies the necessity of God yet can't explain why " The Universe " would care about my life to the detail that is presented.

And the vague horoscopes you find in the newspaper are written to be palatable to a wide variety of people, to the point that it can't be trusted to have individual significance. It's about as accurate and astounding as during the summer me telling you, "You may eat an ice cream soon." Or during the winter me telling you, "You may need a hat sometime this week."

Why would you conclude that?

At root, horoscopes make the central claim that "heavenly powers out amongst the stars" can influence, even to the point of controlling, the lives & fates of humans on earth

(and have been doing so for ages & eons, since before the dawn of human history)

Trinity,

No, I don't read horoscopes or use any form of divination. Which this falls within. I understand astrology well and did my chart years ago. But the Lord showed me the truth and I pursue the course He has in mind.

Accepting Satan's prescription has a domino effect. You can't dip your toe in his waters and shimmy back to God's when the mood strikes. Horoscopes promote different ideologies which oppose the truths the Lord presents. You can't serve two Masters. You must choose or your 'choices' will do it for you.

At some point it isn't enough. They're generic prescriptions. You'll need to see a professional for a personalized report. Much like curiosity killed the cat you're heading in the same direction. Your want to know will grow. Do you see a psychic or explore on your own? You look up one day and you've got tarot cards, crystals and get your palms read and wonder how you reached that point. It's a slippery slope.

Horoscopes cannot predict your future. Divination presents a truth and a lie and often leaves something out. You won't know the difference. God is the source we should consult.

Yours in His Service,

~Bella
