Peace.
God called unto Adam and said unto him, “Where are you”?
Where is the evidence of your faith?
After the eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the eyes of Adam and Eve were both opened and they knew that they were naked and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.
Genesis 3:7-11 KJV
(7) And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
What this means for today is that the Son of God comes along in the end of this age and gives us His knowledge (the eyes of our understanding are opened). The Scriptures are opened up to our understanding. How shall one respond to the hearing of His interpretation of the Scriptures? Will it be good or evil on our part?
His revelation knowledge of the Scriptures shall challenge our denominations’ “knowledge” and our own religious thoughts and beliefs and ways. But we must overcome and be found in Him when He does. We must be found in Him...putting on Christ...the external good works of peace, brotherly love, joy, kindness, patience, gentleness, etc.
We show we know God when the Son comes to give us His heavenly knowledge by the doing of His commandments when we hear His voice speaking to us today.
Those who “hear” shall enter into eternal life. Those who will not hear will enter into judgment for their evil responses to the hearing of His words of life and spirit.
1 John 5:20 KJV
(20) And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
Again, how do we show we know God? By the doing/keeping of His commandments.
1 John 2:3-6 KJV
(3) And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
(4) He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
(5) But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
(6) He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
Adam and Eve knew that they were “naked” after the opening up of their eyes.
Today, the Son of God comes along to tell us that we are also “naked”….without the works of His righteousness.
As Jesus told the church in “Laodicea” (meaning “people of the Judgment): “… knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked..”
He comes to “open up” the eyes of our understanding with His rebuke as He shows us that we are without works of His righteousness.
Revelation 3:17-19 KJV
(17) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
We are counseled to buy of Him faith in the fire of His rebuke of us (gold tried in the fire of His rebuke) and white raiment (the showing forth of that inward faith in external good works…putting on Christ).
In doing so, the “shame” of our nakedness will not appear.
When one speaks evil of what one hears (His revelation Truth), their “shame” appears before Him. A man will reveal what is in his heart through the words that he speaks…and every idle word that he speaks shall he be held accountable for in the Day of Judgment. Laodicea = people of the Judgment.
Anoint your eyes with “eyesalve” which means “ a long roll of bread”…..the Bread of Heaven. We are to receive His knowledge from Heaven so that we may “see”.
(18) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
(19) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Love not sleep….that is, forgetting to do His commandments…but instead “open your eyes” and be satisfied with the Bread of Heaven. Let us be found of Him “awake” to His righteousness so that we may enter in to His knowledge.
We are cast out (“come to poverty”) of the understanding of His revelation knowledge from Heaven if we do not “awaken” to His righteousness. Those who will not do His commandments will not enter in to know the mysteries of the kingdom. "outside" of that knowledge are those who not do His will.
Proverbs 20:13 KJV
(13) Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.
But Adam and Eve instead of doing the Lord’s counsel, they instead “sewed fig leaves together” and made themselves “aprons”.
They said “Lord, Lord” but did not do His commandments. Producing “leaves” only and not accompanied by the fruit of the Spirit.
They made themselves “aprons”…. they felt secure (I am need of nothing) in their words (“leaves” only) but did not put on Christ (the external good works…fruit of the Spirit: brotherly love, peace, kindness, patience, gentleness, etc).
Today, many will do the same after the hearing of that they are without His righteousness in the doing of their church works. Our denominational working of the church handwriting of dogmas is not the doing His righteousness as many use these handwritings to judge others who do not do them. There is only One Judge and One Lawgiver...who are we to judge another?
Genesis 3: KJV
(7) And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
We must bring forth good fruit….fruit of the Spirit… and not just “leaves” … saying “Lord, Lord”, platitudes only without fruit.
Matthew 7:20-23 KJV
(20) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
(21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
(22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
(23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Adam and Eve heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the “cool”….that is, the SPIRIT…of the Day….that is, the Day of Judgment.
But Adam and his wife “hid” themselves from the presence/face of the LORD God in the TREE (singular Tree) of the garden. This “tree” is the Tree of Life.
Many today will hide themselves behind their reputation that they are “alive” in their faith but are really “dead” as they will not show forth their faith by the external good works that is evidence of our inward faith after the hearing of His voice.
When we hear His voice (as He opens up the Scriptures in His heavenly knowledge), we are to walk with Him in the Spirit and not hide from Him.
We show we KNOW Him by the keeping of His commandments. Behaving badly towards what we hear His voice saying is not the doing of His commandments.
We must show forth our faith in Him by the outward manifestation of good works (peace, love, joy, patience, kindness, etc)….the external evidence of our inward faith. Good works completes our faith.
Saying “Lord, Lord” only (leaves only) and not doing of His will (producing good “fruit”) is “hiding” from Him as we show we don’t know Him when we don’t do His will (Jesus: I NEVER KNEW YOU).
They "hid" from His face/presence. They did not show forth their faith by outward good works which would show that they knew God. They hid in the tree of life...behind their name that they are alive in their faith. But they are "dead" without the good works that would show that they are truly alive. Faith without good works is "dead" and cannot save us.
Genesis 3:
(8) And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
Where are you? Where is the evidence of your faith?
(9) And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
(10) And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
(11) And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
We can’t hide in the Tree of Life…saying that we are “alive” in Christ but are really “dead” as we do not show forth the evidence of that inward faith by the producing of the fruit of the Spirit…the “good works” (peace, love, etc). Our faith should not be professed only (leaves only) but also SHOWN OUTWARDLY (producing fruit of the Spirit).
James 2:17-20 KJV
(17) Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
(18) Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
(19) Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Faith WITHOUT these good works is “dead”.
(20) But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
“Adam” = “red”. “Sardis” = “red ones”.
As Jesus said to the church in “Sardis” which means “red ones”, “I know your works, that you have a name that you live and are dead.”
Adam and his wife hid in the “tree” of the garden….the Tree of Life…after the hearing of His voice.
Many will do the same today when they hear His voice speaking in the Spirit through those whom He sends out to speak His words of life and spirit to the churches.
Professing one’s faith without the producing of good fruit is “dead”. Faith is active....faith is DOING.
Revelation 3:1-2
(1) And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars, I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
The external good works of our inward faith completes our faith before God. We are counseled to “be watchful”…that is, AWAKEN to His righteousness.
I have not found your works “perfect”…that is, COMPLETE… before God.
(2) Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
By good works our faith is made “perfect”…that is, COMPLETE before God. It is imputed to us as righteousness. We are then found as friends of God.
James 2:22-26 KJV
(22) Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
(23) And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
(24) Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
(25) Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
(26) For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Some will continue to eat of the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil after the hearing that they are without His righteousness.
Genesis 3:11 KJV
(11) And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
They will continue to judge their brothers as “evil doers” because of what they were sent out to speak (the words of the Lord). His words will not align with what they thought was true and right within their own minds…their own “dogmas”.
They will want to be seen as "wise" as the woman in the garden and will continue to "eat" from the tree they are not supposed to.
But who is truly a wise man and is endued with knowledge among us. Those who have good works...showing forth their works with the meekness of wisdom.
James 3:13-18 KJV
(13) Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
(14) But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
(15) This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
(16) For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
(17) But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
(18) And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
Those who will continue to sin will continue to see themselves as “wise” judges for God knowing who and what is good and evil and will speak out with false accusations of their brothers sent out by Him. They will label them as “devils” and cast them out as such. They will not believe that it is Christ speaking in them.
They will become full of wrath (as Cain did) towards those brothers who will be sent out to speak His Word of Truth (which they will not agree with). Bold men speaking things against their brothers. But their boldness is misplaced as they are really in danger.
Matthew 5:21-22 KJV
(21) Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
They will be angry with their brothers WITHOUT cause. They already know inward that they are in danger for being angry for the next step is the speaking of that anger by the calling of their brother “raca”..that is, "empty head" for what they preach.
They will sin…speak evil of them. They will call their brothers “empty heads” for what they speak (His words of life and spirit). They are then warned a second time to remember the covenant of brotherly love.
But then if they do it again by the calling of them “fool” for what they speak, they are warned a 3rd time. Then, if they do it yet again there is no remedy. There is no more sacrifice for those who will continue to willfully sin (without repenting). Whoever sins are retained, they are retained for there will be no remedy.
(22) But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
For 3 transgressions of Edom (red) and for 4, the judgment of “hell fire” shall not be turned away against those who will continue to pursue their brothers who will speak His Word of Truth with the “sword” of the tongue.
Amos 1:11 KJV
(11) Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
God called unto Adam and said unto him, “Where are you”?
Where is the evidence of your faith?
After the eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the eyes of Adam and Eve were both opened and they knew that they were naked and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.
