No you do not lay out the doormat for that stuff. But some loon that tries to employ magic and curses against a Christian is all in vain

It depends on where you are really in your relationship with Christ. E.g If you call yourself a Christian yet you like to go backwards and forwards all the time, the devil will simply wallop you in your coming and going, because he has every right to, if he catches you in his backyard. A true Christian though cannot be harmed.

Magic can hurt the body, but not the part of them that is in the kingdom of God.

In a sense, since we all have sinful thoughts that are generated from the brain and impulses in our physical body - this element of our experiences does not enter the kingdom of God. And this is what magic targets.

I think that Christians can be hexed to an extent. If you ever notice an unusual heaviness or other odd, negative activity in your life, the first thing I would do is seek God on the matter and do some spiritual warfare.

Living in Africa, I have had witchcraft affect our family before, but God protected us. I too was along the lines of this is nonsense until it happened to us.

I hear you and agree if you are trying to exercise an authority that you don't have, like the sons of Skeever. But I have experienced witchcraft in our household. We were planting churches in rural Africa when we encountered witchcraft. Look I don't know, I may have been going back and forth, but somehow I think overall we were growing.

Mature Christians can be attacked.

Paul was regularly bothered by a Satanic influence that God allowed to keep him humble.

If you mean hurt by attacks, we can witness Jesus hurt physically and mentally at the time of his capture and killing. Can a physical body be hurt? Obviously.

If you are a truly seeking after the Lord He will protect you and keep you safe (Psalm 91).
But you should be careful. In the paths of the wicked lie thorns and snares but he who guards his soul stays far from it Proverbs 22:5.
The Lord will warn you in such cases. He warned me and I fasted. When the situation came it didn't harm me as that person intended instead it turned on them and devoured them.
