Looking for Christian wisdom

I believe I came to the right place to ask this. I know, as Christians, we shouldn't be looking for signs because the bible forbids us to do so. But, I read somewhere that if you think your receiving a sign from god, you will know because there will be ringing in your ears. I dont know how credible it is, so I came to ask you guys if that has an resemblence of truth. Like does his presence bring ear ringing or something like that? What do you think? I'm asking cause ill randomly getting ringing but its usually when im stressed..

I don't think if there is a strict guide how a sign from God looks or feels, it's a personal experience.

P.S. Maybe you should see a ear doctor.

This is a personal thing really. Perhaps you need to see a ear specialist as well.

Hello @SamuelReborn, I see that you are a new member, so first off, WELCOME TO CF :wave:

As far as a ringing in your ears being a sign from God, there is nothing like that in the Bible concerning the living God, but I do believe that it is taught as a part of Gaia mythology (Gaia is an ancient Greek "goddess", just FYI).

There are many reasons for ringing in your ears. If it's bothering you, I'd recommend the same thing that both @Frankl and @ChristianGirl_96 did, go see a doctor about it.

I have never heard of that ringing. And certainly, it is not from the Bible. But about the signs. in the Bible Jesus tells about many signs that will be seen, before he comes. So, it is not entirely bad to see the signs Jesus told.

Okay thank you. Ive been anxious recently is all. I read about it, and it concerned and it concerned me because i was hearng the ringing at times that brought me anxiety and i couldnt tell if it were true or not that when god talks to us our ear rings. I should go see a doctor

Okay. I guess i was just misinformed. Im glad becuase it was giving me anxiety and i was basing decisions and predictions off it. (For a short period of time). I will not see the ringing as from god for now on because its not biblical !

Personal means what like its unique to each individual? Like god knows our heart and speaks to us in our own way?

The top one looks at the use of signs to discern His will, so that lecture may be the one that you are most interested in. They are free right now, and they are all about 22-23 minutes long, as they were originally made for his 30 minute radio broadcast called Renewing Your Mind. I think you will find them both useful and enjoyable if you have the time to listen

Jesus, while on earth, said look at the signs and wonders "If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in Him. John 10:37-38
