This is fun!
I do not like watching movies in a cinema. Nor do I like wasting food either. I also abhor violence and stinky body parts too. Another pet hate is wine.
What I do not like: anime, animation in general unless it;s high quality realistic computer or traditional . Family guy, Simpsons etc. Comedy or anything silly. rap, country and anything that's similar in style / sound. Music in general unless in the mood. winter / cold weather. Noise
What I like: crime drama, horror, mystery , fantasy and a limited variety of sci fi. Reading Warrior Cats. Playing pen and paper games (with real living humans not computer garbage) D&D, T&T, home brew gamma world, horror, star wars and Warrior Cats. Minecraft (I like building)
May Starclan light your path
I love being short. I also love Halloween too.
I don’t like:
-Politics
-Alcohol
-Heavy/metal music
-Watching sports (well some of them is ok for example pool, and I used to watch ice hockey but only worldchampionship tournaments)
-Frisbee golf
-Lord of the rings
But I like:
-House music (nobody seems to like it)
-Rollerskating
-Chihuahuas
-Bright colors
-Natural remedies
-Heavy rain and thunderstorm
Ah. I like alcohol, although it's probably a blessing for those who don't. I can handle my drink well, but it's an unhealthy vice.
Heavy metal music. That is my favorite genre of music, although I feel it's mostly men who like extreme metal. Few women.. and the few women who do usually like the gothic/symphonic stuff.. lol.
I like house music.
I don't like chihuahuas.. from my experience they're ugly looking and mean animals. The Napoleon complex transformed into a dog, lol.
I do love thunderstorms and dark weather. Some might find it weird but sunny days usually depress me.
Things that I don't love but others do? Going to bars and nightclubs. Things that I like that others don't? Being in solitude.I thought it would be interesting to make a thread about things other people love that you do not and things you love that many people do not.
I will start. One thing I do not understand s the love and high critical reviews of the Toy Story sequels. The original Toy Story is one of my favorite films. Yet the rest of the Toy Story films are pretty meh for me, even annoying at times. What I liked about the original is that it had a more cynical adult tone. A contrast I found quite hilarious given it centered on talking toys. In the first film Woody seems more concerned about Andy's love more out of selfish needs. He simply wanted the spotlight and to be the top toy in the social hierarchy of the room. While in the other sequels the need for toys to be loved by their owners take on a more sappy tone.
I also enjoyed how mean everyone was in the first film. Besides Andy almost everyone else had an edge to them. While not completely gone from the first film, the toys are much more friendly with one another in the sequels. I do know the original draft of Toy Story was reported as even more cynical and mean spirited. Perhaps the original draft would be too dark, but I do wish they would have kept the tone at least the same level in the sequels as in the first film.
Another thing I do not understand is the love for Chris Farley and his films. I tried watching a few of them like Tommy Boy. I found them painfully unfunny. The premise of him seems like he's a happy go lucky guy and that he's fat and when he falls down he goes "boom". Perhaps I need to give the films another watch, but I remember it being torture just to finish them. Even more sad, apparently Chris Farley in real life was depressed about always having to play the fat idiot on screen. Maybe he thought his own work was terrible too.
