WHO ARE GOD’S LAST DAY PEOPLE THAT RECEIVE HIS PROTECTION?

Here is the patience of the saints here are they that keep the commandments of God and have the Faith of Jesus” - REVELATION 14:12

Note: There is too many bible verses to list here that describe who God’s people are throughout the complete Word of God. Therefore the OP is only listing versus from the book of Revelations and some versus from the New Testament. The Word of God clearly identifies who God’s people are from the Book of Revelations and the New Testament so let’s hear what God has to say. No need for any interpretations as God’s Word speaks for itself although take note of Rev 12:17 and 19:12.

THE BOOK OF REVELATIONS

1. “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus” (Rev 12:17)

2. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. (Revelation 19:12)

3. “Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” (Revelation 22:14)

4. “Here is the patience of the saints here are they that keep the commandments of God and have the Faith of Jesus.” (Revelation 14:12)

6. “Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.“ (1 John 3:4)

7. “And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.” (1 John 3:5)

8. “Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen him, neither known him.” (1 John 3:6)

9. “Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.” (1 John 3:7)

10. “He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)

11. “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” (1 John 3:9)

12. “In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.” (1 John 3:10)

13. “By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.” (1 John 5:2)

14. “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” (1 John 5:3)

15. “And this is love that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, that, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.” (2 John 1:6)

16. “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.” (Matthew 5:17)

17. “For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” (Matthew 5:18)

18. “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:19)

19. “Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: but I say unto you, that whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” (Matthew 5:27-28)

20. “And he said unto him, Why call me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.” (Matthew 19:17)

21. “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)

22. “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.” (John 15:10)

23. “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:10)

24. “For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.” (James 2:11)

25. “So speak you, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.” (James 2:12)

26. “For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoices against judgment.” (James 2:13)

27. “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him?” (James 2:14)

28. “If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,” (James 2:15)

29. “And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled,” (James 2:16)

30. “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” (James 2:17)

31. “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.” (James 2:18)

32. “You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” (James 2:19)

33. “But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?” (James 2:20)

34. “And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.” (1 John 2:3)

35. “He that says, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” (1 John 2:4)

36. “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,” (Hebrews 10:26)

37. “But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.” (Hebrews 10:27)

38. “In times of this ignorance God winks at; but now commands all men everywhere to repent:” (Acts of the Apostles 17:30)

39. "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins. "(Hebrews 10:26)

40. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people." (Hebrews 8:10-12; Jeremiah 31:31-34; Ezekiel 36:26-27)

41. "But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy." (1 Peter 1:15-16)

42. "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." (Hebrews 12:14)

43. "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matthew 5:48)

Now obviously we cannot do all of the above in our own strength as we are all sinners and before we come to Jesus this is all we can possibly do. However, it is the Law of God that is our school master the shows us that we are all sinners and in need of salvation from sin and that the wages of sin is death. The Law of God leads us to the foot of the cross where we can behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world! It is here, as we have complete dependence on the Word of God, and by Faith (believing what God says) simply cling to the promises of God, that forgiveness is claimed.

It is by continuing in the Word of God by complete dependence on the Word of God to do what it says it will do that allows Jesus to work in us so that we can follow him and by Faith Keep all of His commandments because He alone has written His Laws in our Heart (new covenant).

If there is no Law anymore there is no knowledge of sin because sin is the transgression of God's Law (1 John 3:4). If there is no knowledge of sin there is no need of a Savior. If there is no need of a Savior there is no salvation. The person is simply lost because God's Word tells us "For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law." (Romans 2:12). Hope this helps those that love God's Word and want to follow Jesus. God's Word clearly describe who His people are. They are the ones that follow Jesus and reveal His love to the World.

"Here is the patience of the saints, here are those that keep the commandment of God and the Faith of Jesus" (Revelation 14:12). To Him be the Glory forever and ever Amen.

...................

QUESTIONS. (scripture please)

1. If we do not believe and follow God's WORD do we have God's protection?
2. Are we believing and following God if we break his commandments?

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

Hard for me to truly understand what your getting at. Well from the start your taking verses out of context. Some verses have huge story (so to speak) behind them. Rev 14 12.. Christians need this message that encourages them not to give up and that His justice will prevail. Yet I personally believe the Church will not be here.

1st question.. the word says if you doubt let not that man think he will receive anything from God.
2nd yes. HAHA I doubt I am 100% every day keeping His word. Just repent and keep going. The AWESOME thing about our GOD is.. He is faithful to what Christ already did on the Cross. <--this is HUGE..its what HE did not us.

1 john 3 4. False teachers? Yeah what was John talking about.. this comes into play here. Sin and lawlessness. Sin missing the mark while lawlessness implies a more serious offense of purposely disregarding the law of God. The short is any form of sin is rebellion against God. Christ fulfilled the law as one says, he he did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill its intentions completely and perfectly. So much more to this... I have no desire to chat or debate my personal understanding. Never had a problem here. In all the years with Him.. He has never brought it up.

So please forgive me if I am way off on what you wanted to talk about :) I really liked what you posted..awesome work. Points to Him gives Him all the glory as song playing "You get the glory jonathan Traylor"

Hi Blade thanks for sharing your view. The purpose of the OP is simply to show who the scriptures describe as being God's people and to ask the questions.

1. If we do not believe and follow God's WORD do we have God's protection?
2. Are we believing and following God if we break his commandments?

I do not know what you mean in regards to taking scripture out of context as it is a topical study on subject matter on who God's people are according to the scriptures. If you disagree your welcome to prove otherwise.

You say we sin repent and keep going. This is true but what is repentance. You say missing the mark. This is also true but missing the mark of what exactly? What is the mark we are missing? When we miss the mark it is because we have sinned. Sin is defined in the scriptures as transgressing God's law (10 commandments) and not believing and following God's Word *1 JOHN 3:4; ROMANS 14:23. The mark we are missing is obedience to Gods' law.

We are by God's grace through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God and not of works lest any man should boast *EPHESIANS 2:8-9. OBEDIENCE to God's LAW is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT faith of one that is already been given Gods promise of salvation and the fruit of God's work in us *PHILIPPIANS 2:13 as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD. If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50.

Thanks for sharing your view

God bless

God's judgements before the second coming.

When Christ comes, He comes in judgment. And the Scriptures teach that whoever believes in Him won't be put to shame, and that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ.

Do you believe that God will revoke His own word and promise in the Gospel?

I'm not a Futurist, as such I don't read St. John's Apocalypse as a chronology of future events.

According to the Lord Jesus Himself, His coming will be without warning or without sign, no one will know when it will be--it will be as it was in the days of Noah, people living their lives as normal without any awareness of the impending flood. So will the coming of the Son of Man be. When the Lord returns as judge of the living and the dead, it will be without warning. It is at His coming that judgment happens.

True, as no one will know the day or the hour. There will be signs and judgements before the second coming though so we may know the time is near. This is what I was referring to earlier. Is this what you believe as well?

I don't believe this. In the Olivet Discourse, when the Lord begins to talk about His future Parousia, He speaks in explicitly clear terms about just how sudden and without warning it will be. If there were any signs to look out for, then we could reasonably guess some sort of approximation for when it will be--but Jesus makes it abundantly clear that we won't. He comes as a thief in the night. He describes His future and glorious coming in judgment as two people in a field, with one taken and the other left; or two working at a mill, and one taken and the other left.

Jesus talks about signs, but those signs aren't about His coming again in glory at the end of the age, but about what would befall Jerusalem in 70 AD.

Since we won't have any idea when He comes, we are called to be vigilant, watchful, faithful to His word. That is why He gives us the parables of the virgins and talents. The wise virgins bring enough oil to keep their lamps lit throughout the night, they are faithful. The unfaithful servant sits on his money and does nothing, twiddling his thumbs until the master returns, for which he is sharply rebuked.

I don't think it's an accident that Jesus wants us to know that His coming can't be predicted--if we could then it would be even easier for us to become complacent. But Christ wants us to be faithful to His word, He wants us to be out here in the world loving our neighbor, feeding the hungry, and preaching His Gospel. The Christian should be living the same way regardless of whether the Lord returns ten minutes from now, or ten thousand years from now.

True but in the same discourse we should also remember context. JESUS is not telling us the day or the hour of his coming but was addressing the questions asked by His disciples which was...

MATTHEW 24:1-3
[1], And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to show him the buildings of the temple.
[2], And Jesus said to them, See you not all these things? truly I say to you, There shall not be left here one stone on another, that shall not be thrown down.
[3], And as he sat on the mount of Olives, THE DISCIPLES CAME TO HIM PRIVATELY, SAYING, TELL US WHEN SHALL THESE THINGS BE? AND WHAT SHALL BE THE SIGN OF YOUR COMING AND THE END OF THE WORLD?

Now we need keep in mind here dear friend that the context to the discourse of JESUS in MATTHEW 24 is to the question being asked by the disciples of JESUS and it is this question that JESUS is answering in his discourse.. "when shall these things be AND WHAT SHALL BE THE SIGNS OF YOUR COMING AND THE END OF THE WORLD.

If the signs were already fulfilled as you believe then JESUS would have already returned it the end of the world already come.

May God bless you as you seek him through his Word.
