Have you considered how they misrepresent Christ in support of Israel? And how it polarizes the nations against all Christians? Palestinian Christians? How do they preach to all nations after creating a climate like this? Also they are armed to the teeth. How does this reflect on Christ and the Church?

6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. - Acts 1:6-8

The times and the seasons are not for me to know. I do not know if Liberty misrepresents Christ in support of Israel and make no judgements to those ends. The thing for me to do is to receive the power that the Holy Ghost gives and do my part in witnessing in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth.

The Restoration of Israel

“‘In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof, and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name,’ saith the LORD that doeth this. ‘Behold, the days come,’ saith the LORD, ‘that the ploughman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed, and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel: and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof: they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them,’ saith the LORD thy God.” Amos 9:11–15 (NCPB)

Fulfilled.

“And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, ‘Men and brethren, hearken unto me. Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. And to this agree the words of the prophets, as it is written, “ ‘After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down: and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: that the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called,’ saith the Lord, who doeth all these things”.” Acts 15:13–17 (NCPB)

Followed by the full restoration in the resurrection of Biblical Israel (the Church/body of Christ) on the last day.

I visited Thomas Road Baptist. Nothing stood out to me as particularly special.
Have you considered their meddling in Middle-East affairs in behalf of "Israel" and how that alone misrepresents Christ? And the blood-shed it shares in?

I understand your point, and you will find that I am quite outspoken about Israel. I just consider it a completely different battle when there is impropriety going on with parents' life savings and good people's charitable contributions. Or rape on a Christian campus, when parents are sending their daughters to a private school specifically so it will be safe.

Not to say that all this dual covenantalism heresy does not start in our universities and seminaries, though. It does.

Stick with the historic creeds and you'll be safe.

Do you know of any good study materials on the origin of the creeds? If students are required two semesters of the Bible in order to graduate, then they should learn that, too. I just got done studying the origin of our present-day English (and German) canon, but nothing about the creeds. I prefer to study writings that do not make an apologetic for them--only present the facts (and if the facts speak for themselves in favor of the creeds/Bible, so be it...).

If you agree with the Creeds, you are not a heretic.

I do not worry about an organization's stance on Israel or on the denominational standing. What matters to me....

1. Salvation- That one has believed in his heart on the Lord Jesus Christ
2. Sanctification- A clean and holy life
3. Infilling of the Holy Ghost- Reasonable fruits (Love, joy, peace, gentleness, etc)

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. - Galatians 5:14

In which I have no problem with Jonathan Falwell or the current LU president Jerry Prevo.

Think ahead. Where does Premillennialism/Dispensationalism lead? It is a slow return to Judaism in a "Millennium" that returns to temple animal sacrifices. Hebrews 6 says this is an unforgivable sin. If you plan on doing it, you're already gone.

Where does Ezekiel's Temple come in? Perhaps it hasn't hit you yet.
If I had to pick an end time date and tie everything together, noting my timing can be in error, I would go with the scientist, Isaac Newton...

"And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half. " - Daniel 12:7

From a folio cataloged as Yahuda MS 7.3g, f. 13v:

"So then the time times & half a time are 42 months or 1260 days or three years & an half, reckoning twelve months to a year & 30 days to a month as was done in the Calendar of the primitive year. And the days of short lived Beasts being put for the years of lived kingdoms, the period of 1260 days, if dated from the complete conquest of the three kings A.C. 800, will end A.C. 2060." - Isaac Newton

As Charlemagne was crowned king on December 25, 800 by Pope Leo the III so the day of Christ's coming will be on Christmas Day, 2060. If the rapture of the saints (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) occurs seven years before the time of Christ's coming the date of the rapture 12.25 2053. However Isaac Newton notes

"It may end later, but I see no reason for its ending sooner. This I mention not to assert when the time of the end shall be, but to put a stop to the rash conjectures of fancifull men who are frequently predicting the time of the end, & by doing so bring the sacred prophesies into discredit as often as their predictions fail. Christ comes as a thief in the night, & it is not for us to know the times & seasons which God hath put into his own breast." - Isaac Newton

Before Christ comes the Anti-Christ must be revealed...

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; - 2 Thessalonians 2:3

Who....

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. - Revelation 13:16-18

I traveled to Tahiti and couldn't help but notice all the electronic devices hooked to databases. All you have to do is swipe your passports and all your information comes up. You can even have your iPhone display your ticket information. We are not far away from having everything stored on a universal database in which we will all be required to be tied to! And for most folk this will be just another tattoo! 2060AD is a very close, scientific, and accurate prediction!

I believe that the Ezekiel 38 prophecy happens before 2060 AD

After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. - Ezekiel 38:8

In the latter years... Not at the end of days.... If I had to come up with a timeline...

Ephesus - Messianic - Beginning with the Apostle to the Circumcision, Peter - 33 AD
Smyrna - Martyr - Beginning with the Apostle to the Un-Circumcision, Paul - 45 AD
Pergamos - Orthodoxy formed in this time... Pergos is a tower... -300 AD
Thyatira - Catholicism formed in this time -800 AD
Sardis - Protestantism formed in this time- A sardius is a gem - 1300 AD
Philadelphia - Wesleyism formed in this time - 1700 AD
Laodicea - Charismatic movement formed in this time - Beginning with DL Moody, the first to make money off of ministry - 1900 AD

Restoration of Israel - 1948AD
Current Year - 2020AD
Ezekiel 38-39 prophecy - 2027AD
Rebuilding of the temple - 2030AD (Ezekiel 40)
Rapture - 2053 AD
Tribulation - 2053 - 2060 AD
Coming of Christ Jesus - 12.25.2060 - Exactly 1260 years from the time of the inauguration of Charlemagne King.

I believe that we are at the end of the church ages, in which the Lord says,

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; - 2 Thessalonians 2:3

We are living in the times of the great falling away, all we need is the revelation of the antichrist and it is rapture time. But I think that the full restoration of Israel has yet to come.

Ezekiel's prophecy is about Christ. God's temple made without hands. If you literalize it, you end in irredeemable apostasy along with most false teachers today.

And John Calvin would have had me executed in his time. Ezekiel's prophecy is about Christ? Please!

You read the bible as the Pharisees do and agree with them. Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom that you reject.

Jesus taught the gospel of the kingdom and you reject it siding with the Pharisees millennial kingdom that rejects it. He told us to preach the same gospel until the end of the world. If you could see the kingdom you would preach it and take part in it.

The Church is apostasizing.

I am a member of the Pentecostal Holiness church but visit all denominations. In this day and time I believe the church influenced by the Laodicean age, which I believe has had an impact on all. I therefore do not promote any certain denomination. The Thomas Road Baptist church is independent. It is too bad, I believe, that the spirit of the Laodicean age took effect on Jerry Jr and wife.

Here in Southwest Virginia....

1. My Pentecostal Holiness pastor has a Masters Degree from Liberty
2. Many Baptist preachers hold degrees from Liberty
3. Many of all denominations and independents hold degrees from Liberty
4. I helped support a niece through Liberty, who latter went on to work at Virginia Tech
5. Liberty University represents the Moral Majority, a prominent American political organization associated with the Christian right and Republican Party.
6. Liberty University represents Christianity on planet earth.

The name Liberty University is now associated with scandal, which takes from the luster of anyone associated with them or who holds a degree from there. I understand Liberty is now investigated their former leader.....

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/jerry-falwell-jr-liberty-university-investigation-scandal/

All of which is serious stuff that the former president needs held accountable for. When I was associated with the GARBC (If I remember right) me and some buddies at youth camp took some boats out when we were supposed to be in chapel. A day did not go by until I was before the leadership giving an account of what happened and I had to put together an explanation good enough for them to believe I would not do that a second time.

Christ represents us in the heavens!
We represent Christ on the earth!

All of which is serious stuff!
The hubby and I are affiliated with Liberty University. It broke our hearts to follow the latest scandals. I do not know much about Fallwell Sr. except that he was more political than I am comfortable with a church being. All the same I respected his drive and stand.

One thing I did learn was that he feared Liberty University would go the way of other colleges that started faithfully but became secular. So, he literally went to court to have the Thomas Road Baptist Church board be in control of the Liberty University board. So, his church had a right to fire the leaders of his college if needed to keep the school biblical. The problem was he left one son in charge of his church and one son in charge of his college. His fail safe was faulty. Falwell Jr. should have been booted long before. There were so many indicators.

Our professors are mainly solid as far as I can tell. Love all my professors from Liberty. Most of the students seem to feel the same about the godly faculty and curriculum. It is still very much biblically sound save the odd secular textbook required to keep programs on a licensure track.
