That would still be a problem, as British Columbia is named for Christopher Columbus. The British and Americans jointly administered British Columbia/Oregon territory prior to its partition. They could rename both Cascadia, if inclined I suppose.
The problem is deeper as Washington, District of Columbia, is doubly offensive.
But then you have the Columbus problem. Columbus is on the outs. His face has been smashed into the dirt in Minnesota. So the Canadians have to make changes to the name of BC. And Columbus Ohio and so many other towns.
Hey, America is named after Amerigo Vespucci. That's gotta go. And Amerigo named the Pacific ocean, so that's intolerable too. And all of the names of the missions of California were the fault of Fr. Junipero Serra. Los Angeles and San Bernadino and San Francisco gotta be changed. Throw everything down the memory hole. Oh, wasn't Jefferson a Democrat?
No problem they will just adjust the name like they did King County, which became ML King county so washington will just become the state of Geo Washington Carver
Our History is stealing land from the Indians, raping and killing Indians. Owning slaves, beating them and raping them. Hanging Black people , because they're black. Cops beating and killing black people. Why would they want any history left. BTW, I prefer no protesting or riots.
