Hey everyone. I signed-up a while back, then just rediscovered this forum recently. I haven't been on many forums recently, as a lot of my free time is spent writing. Just thought I would take a break and see what some fellow Christians were writing. We really need more Christian writers out there. I just got my first Christian Science Fiction/Fantasy novel published and I'm working on book two of the series right now. Anyone who is interested can click down on my homepage link to check it out.

Who else here is working on Christian Science Fiction or Fantasy novels and what are they about? I'm interested in what my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ are coming up with. The market seems to have very little sci-fi beyond end times fiction right now.

Anyone?

Well, I'm not exactly writing novels. I right add-ons. I made an add-on called Strength of the Heart, but I can't take all of the credit. Add-ons are made with more then just one author. Right now it's not doing to well. Bad case of writers block for me.

wow, how cool! i love reading fantasy novels! what's the book you've published called? i think i'll check it out. :)

well... there's one rpg (add-on) here entitled "Seven seals", it's supposed to be christian fantasy, but i haven't done a good job in incorporating God into the story.. the others are better at this though. :)
true will, rpg is quite different from a novel, but it's fun, don't you think?

Hey,everybody. Thanks for the responses.

I find the main times I have writers' block is when I'm not right with the Lord, like having known sin in my life, not that that is what you are experiencing. It is just like that for me. Usually my writing flows when I'm right with Him. Well, "usually," but not always.

I will look over some of the other writing threads when I get a chance. The Paladin idea sounds cool.

My book is titled Black Storm Rising and is the first book of the Orianus Creation Series. It is a mixture of sci-fi and fantasy. If you click on my "homepage" button below you can check it out. I have some excerpts from the book that you can click on. They are jpgs of the actual book pages, so you may have some browsers that shrink them when they load. I've been told this by others, and they said that by right-clicking on them, there is an option to enlarge them to proper size. My browser loads them fine. All the details about the novel are on my site and also a link to the book at Amazon.com. It is 376 pages in 6X9 format with the smaller mass market paperback size of font. The text was almost 176,000 words and would have gone over 500 pages in the larger font, and cost a lot more.

I'm also interested in learning more about the add-ons. Will it be published when you are finished?

Do any of you have anything published or even a manuscript written? I would like to check out what you all have.

Shane

Well, I've thought of printing all of the pages from the third Seven Seals story. I haven't told Blessed this yet, but I guess she knos now. To make an add-on into a book would be quite a challenge. You'd have to edit a lot of mistakes throughout the story. Not that I'm saying that we RPG authors make errors a lot. There's just some confusion sometimes. I've always had the perfect idea of a cover, but I'm not really a good at art.

Your throughts are right, Blessed. But I'm talking about the third story, Seven Seals: The Reforging of the Seals.

I know! It would be like, written by Blessed-one, Kookaburra, willwait4him, DARRIONS, oncewaslost, Grimr, and Ferment8. Ha! Seven names!! Hey, I just noticed, seven authors to write Seven Seals. Sorta kool. But anyway, I'll try to explain the cover. It would be sort of a dark forest green. The words, Seven Seals: The Reforging of the Seals, engraved in silver on the top. Below that, the authors names engraved in silver. A couple centimeters below that, one circle. In this circle, is a dragon with multiple heads; which is Satan. Around Satan's circle, are seven other smaller circles. And you guested it, these circles represent the seals. They all have their meanings on them(ex: The seal of fire with flames on it.). The seals'll look all old, some with cracks running down the middle of them. Thus, the seven seals surrounding and containing the Dark Lord of Hell. All this would also be engraved in silver, accept Satan's circle and Satan himself, they'd be engraved in black.

Velcommen zu sien 'Autiers' Korna'. Mein name ist Kookaburra, und du may call me Kendz. :D I am a rather unreliable wrighter here, unfortunately. It seems of late that I have developed both a bad case of Writer's Block and been on the receiving end of some horrific assignments.

Hope you enjoy reading the stories!

no worries Grimr, guess what? i like watching Digimon too, i reckon it's way better than pokemon...

lol.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. :) I haven't been able to get online here much lately, as I have a lot going on right now. I am up to 82,222 words on my second novel, and the people at Amazon have finally posted my excerpts and info on my book's page. I really need to be doing some editing right now.

I see a lot of interesting ideas that you all have. It justs takes not giving up, and constantly refining your writing to finally have something print-worthy. The cost to publish a book has dropped significantly now, with the advent of computerized publishing.

That reminds me, are there any astronomy buffs on here that may know of a star located within the constellation Orion, which is comparable to our Sun in brightness and size?

Thanks, if you do.

About the seven or eight authors-- maybe you all could pick a pen name to represent the whole group, then list the members in the book's introduction. Just a thought.

Huh? It is. I thought we decided it being the thrid story and we'd make a second after the first is done? Hmm, oh well. I already have idea for the second if you're interested. ;)

Good idea, Shane! Any suggestions everyone?
